Class of 2017!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!

In my perspective I think the whole purpose of NYC is to move into a really small apartment all cramped up or defeats the whole purpose of living there. Idk why i feel that way but...

👍

An ex gf of mine used to go to NYU. She had rented an apartment for $2000 per month and her living room was no bigger than my kitchen. I am not even exaggerating

I hate the city (sorry tman). It overwhelms me. I'd rather live in a small city/the suburbs

:laugh: I wonder if Miami is expensive, too 😕

Well yea parts of Miami are expensive like any other metropolitan city, but Florida itself is cheap or even cheaper Texas in general.

You can choose to live in the suburbs and work in Miami and be minutes from the beach 🙂

I'm not a big fan of the city, either, but it's not like I have a choice 🙁 $2k sounds about right in the city. I mean I pay like $800 a month for dorming and that's for a room smaller than a jail cell...which reminds me...some of the dorms at my school were designed by a person who designed jails...:scared::scared:

i feel ya, it's completely unrealistic

🙁

Do you have a single? $800/month for a single is not too bad....

I am paying $500 per month for my apartment (utilities included) 😀

Nah Highland park is a lot closer to Dallas and has very expensive homes. Bush lives there :meanie:

I'm around Plano

Haha yeah. My relatives live 2 blocks away from his house and always see Secret Service cars going up and down the 'hood.

I thought Plano was really far from Dallas... I guess I need to visit there more often to get my geography right.

According to him he bought a "regular, middle class" house in there. I am pretty sure what he means by that is a huge mansion

Have you see his house torshi?

This semester I'll have single, but it's in a suite, so if my suite mates are loud...:boom: It's more expensive for a single, though...

You know...I can't believe they pay an ex president $180k a year....that's just ridiculous...😡

Lol nice.Yea some celebs like tom cruise and troy aikman use to live in Plano..

and nah Plano isn't far at all. I don't remember the last time i went down there, but it can take anywhere from 15-30 min depending where your coming from in Plano

Arlington on the other hand, not so much 😛

lol. I went to Arlington to see Cowboys Stadium early in the morning. Saw a bunch of streetwalkers on the South Arlington side. Drove out of there as fast as I could.

Hope so :xf::xf: We'll find out next sunday when I move in :scared:

:xf: for you tman

Never had problems with a loud roommate. Except my roommate in senior year of hs (I went to boarding school) would stay up till 4 am playing Age of empires. 🙄

:laugh: yeah the criminal rate here in Arlington is crazy high. At my apartment, i cant stay out at 9pm at night. if i do, i get a ticket from our local police. Everyone should be inside by 9pm 😱

No clue, but probably 30-40% cheaper

I'd say that it's more than that tman. The girl I was talking about was living near Chinatown and she was still paying 2K monthly. Now I don't know much about the city but I am willing to be it's not one of the best of neighborhoods

Big difference from the city. In my borough I could rent a 1 bedroom apt for the same price as I pay for housing at school and my school is not in the city 👎thumbdown

That sucks. College housing is always expensive though

I wouldn't really want to live in chinatown...place is way too densely populated and the rooms are tiny

Ugh. My dream is to move somewhere colder. Time to go with UVM or Dartmouth. 😎
