Where is everyone 😕 Someone do my masteringphysics for me 😛

when does ochem starting getting hard?

so far i'm into nomenclature and conformations.

So far its not that bad, but I'm just scared about what kinda questions my prof will ask on the quiz ;/ Also, i get stumped on a few problems or i think im doing it right and it turns out i missed something very minor ;p

For my class the first test material was really easy. Second test stuff onward starts getting harder.

I'm probably gonna be saying eff Mastering Physics in a few days lol. We had MasteringBio, too. For orgo we tried these two other online homework systems, which were each horrible in their own way. I liked g-chem homework best. Good ol' pen and paper haha.

'Sup homies?

Hey buddy! What have you been up to? Masteringphysics can be a pain in the arse, but it's like the best way to learn the material. Just do lots of difficult problems. My prof teaches random stuff that makes no sense, so doing the homework helps. I also had mastering bio, but we just did the textbook problems for orgo.

my physics prof is so horrible at teaching in class.....the looks on everyones face is priceless....

at least i have an idea of it until it gets up to rotation :meanie:

i saw some dude studying for mcat verbal while i was at the library

reminded me of you guys 🙂

but i feel super gunnerish because i already had the book he has 🙁

lol i told him good luck

my whole integrative neuroscience class is pre-med, our prof asked and everyones hand went up no joke...👎thumbdown

the only thing im not understanding so far in ochem is the lewis acid/lewis base nucleophilic/electrophilic etc...

idk if i needed gen chem 2 for that i don't think i needed it but i keep getting stumped on where to draw the arrows

I literally been studying all day for ochem...quiz coming up

Haha, I did so many orgo problems from the book in addition to the online homework. And still got a B+ last semester. And my test grades last semester were a 90, 80, and 96. Aka the ACS final must have fuxed me for some reason. I'm still mad about it. I thought for sure that I'd get at least an A- with the homework average. At least I got an A in orgo I though. <_<; And that's my organic rant for the night.

👎 Bad profs are miserable. Apparently my physics prof isn't so great, either. Should be interesting.

lol, Don't feel bad. I bought some MCAT books freshman year too, and flipped through them occasionally. Gunners gunna gun. 😳 But srsly, when you know this is what you're working towards, there's nothing wrong with being ahead of the game and on top of things in my mind. 🙂

I know what you mean. I hate when I study my arse off for a class and miss the cut off my a little bit. Story of my life.

that meiosis crap in bio is annoying...

Meoisis is annoying. I think that it just takes time to sink in.

Nah, I think that Gen Chem 2 is just kinematics, acids and bases, and assorted stuff.

From what you've said, I'm now terrified of Organic Chem :scared:

so far its sorta "easy" but i dont wanna say anything until my test comes, because idk the type of questions she will ask ;/ all hand-written exam as well 👎

I like cell cycle stuff. I agree the meiosis is one of those things that takes a lil time to sink in, though. 😛

You shouldn't be. From what I can tell, your background in the sciences is solid. Organic's fine as long as you study for it. 🙂

Ugh I got an 89 (1 pt away from an A-) in my English class last semester. It annoyed me because I was ACING that class!! ANNND because I, for some stupid reason, didn't bother do the extra credit >.<

Yes, I'm still bitter about it. B+'s don't help raise gpa's...

That is really unfortunate 🙁. Yeah B+ are B's for the GPA calculation so they will bring down your GPA. You can do better this semester though. Good luck! :xf:

Off to do some hot yoga 🙂

I should do yoga! My body's been so sore lately, maybe it would help or something. I think it's because I haven't been to the gym and my muscles are like, "Wtf do we do now? Let's just atrophy. 🙁" or something. Who knows. Move in tomorrow. I hope I have time to go to the gym.

Hmm so are B-s B's as well? And A- A's? I wouldn't mind that too much... 😛

I know the feeling. Happened to me in all my classes last semester 🙁

You can find time 👍 Moving it 😱 Don't forget your toothpaste and stuff 😀

AMCAS counts +/-

TMDSAS (Texas) does not count +/-

So A-s are just regular A's or actually A-? for AMCAS. I got two A-s in undergrad since I missed a couple of days while I birthed two of my children. lol

:hello: Hi StudyShy

I'm pretty sure A-'s are not "A's" they are "A-'s"
