Class of 2017!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
The house party crowd would just want to stay and chill, and I don't know if I want to deal with how crowded it'll be for NYE. I'm feeling pretty lazy.

Too many variables... let alcohol be the judge.

I know... 🙁 Should have just shelled out the extra monies for a wireless. Ugh.

Grab a usb one then. Will almost certainly give you better quality than wireless one. And then return/craigslist/ebay the other one.

Quick poll, Is everyone happy with the school they have been admitted to or are people still waiting for their top choice?

Waiting for my dream school to decide on me, got accepted to a school im pretty happy about so I can't complain. For some reason was expecting more FL schools for me but none so far.

Btw I got 2 new interview invites to VCU and U Cincy... not sure if I should take them as another OOS choice or not.

#acceptedproblems

I am waiting for my dream school also. Yeah, I have a few interviews at good school also. I will continue to go on interviews until I am sure I will be matriculating at a specific school.

To be honest I never really had a dream school. If i do receive a few more acceptances then I may have to make a hard decision more for location and family reasons, but on the whole I'm very happy and really excited for this coming fall.

I did not have a dream school until I started on the interview trail and now I can see the difference between schools. There is definitely a big difference between schools!!!

Agree with above. Never really had a "top choice." Definitely had bottom choices... but...

But what? I can't see gif.

I never ranked my schools before I had an acceptance, but now there are two schools that I interviewed at and am waiting to hear from that I'd love to matriculate to.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat.:xf:

I didn't have a top choice per say.. I just wanted to go back to California (not happening) so now it's more along the lines of.. how do I like it, do I need a car(for the love of god say no), and gym status

Luckily there are choices and still more chances.

Yeah, when I am making my choice access to gym will definitely be in the final decision. Sorry about Cali, I LOVE cali.

Who went out on this frigid New England night and had a great time?

I swear the snow storms always go around me for some reason. Still nothing yet, they said it would start at 9. 😕

*looks out the window at the pouring snow*

Whelp... Looks like I'm stuck inside today.

So heres a dumb question from someone who obviously doesn't go to snowy cities:

I know when you go up mountains you need snow chains on your tires, but do you need them for snow in general? I've never seen snow anywhere except in the mountains, but I imagine it'd be pretty goofy to see all the cars in Philly driving around with snow chains. If they don't require snow chains, do you have to keep a set of snow tires to change into once the snow season starts?

Haha definitely no to the chains. Just get a nice pair of snow tires and you will be fine. I have lived in Upstate NY all my life, so I definitely have experience with winter driving.

Uhhhh.... I've never changed my tires in my life and have never put chains on my tires, either. You just drive a little more cautiously is all.

Where do you live? I think it depends on how much snow falls each year where you live. We get like 150 to 180 inches a year, so not having snow tires here is miserable.

Agreed Snow Tires are worth it
Especially because all-season tires are not actually all-season
The Snow Tires also work better when its just cold out in general as they use a different rubber compound that works better when the temperature is <40

I live in Southern PA, so we don't get nearly as much as further up north. If Goobs plans on going to a Philly school, snow tires would be nice, but I don't think they're a requisite, at least from my experience.

Oops, I missed the Philly part haha

Anytime I had to drive on snow.. any roundabout or anything unusual and it was pretty much me praying to stay on the road. On the plus side.. you'll get to some idiots driving at crazy speed and ending up on the side of the road... regularly
