Until you drop it face down. :naughty:

Happened to me..
The gs2 is one of most indestructible phones out there. It is so light that even dropping face down causes minimal damage. The gs3 i think is more susceptible when hit face down bc the screen is much bigger. Iphone 4 get lots of damage bc they are made of glass on front and back and are heavier and metal (which i admit gives them a much more premiuim feel than the plasticky samsungs)

IPhone 5 feels like crap compared to gs3 though. It's so light.

Imagine you are accepted to medical school, and 10-15 years later, your school asks you to help out and interview the candidates. Would you do this? What would you look for when interviewing? Would you accept yourself? What would make the school ask you to be an interviewer?

Schools don't like everyone they accept. Whiners and people with personality disorders are not their favorites.

That totally came out of the blue 😕

Definitely. It's a good opportunity.

I would. I'm going to try and be a student adcom wherever I go in august.

I'd look for people who are trying to bs their interview answers and secondary essays. I'm good at identifying people who are saying what they're supposed to say without actually believing it.

I would accept myself.

I'm awesome.

Looks like somebody found the wrong thread 😛

But I would love to be a student interviewer. To be on the other side is a unique opportunity indeed.

There are books and counseling services to help with the application process. Have any of you ever used these, and it so, are they considered useful? I think the traditional method is to talk with other students, or at least, students who have been through the process already.

Adventure = exploring unchartered territory, encountering unpredictable and significant events

I'd also ask my interviewees about sdn.

My point is not that you would become an interviewer now, but your attitude, before you are interviewed, is to consider what the person on the other side is thinking.

I think there are many med student interviewers- one of them wrote some comments in the AAMC application guide....

It seems to me there is enough information in SDN to answer most of the questions an applicant would ask. Since it is organized as list of posts, and these are organized by time, perhaps some of the longer threads are harder to follow, and the users become discouraged?

Longer threads tend to become off-topic usually.

ND bringing the lulz
