Any serious lifters in here? I want to get started, and I have no experience so I'm not sure what stuff to do or what kind of a routine I should be doing as a beginner.

I'm 6'1", 205lbs, not fat but not in great shape, fairly strong already just want to look more cut and look bigger.

Pretty time consuming in my opinion, so I switched over to more compound exercises.

My current schedule is a 2 day split, 3 days a week.

Day 1:
Bench press 5x5
Pull-up 5x7 (bring this up slowly to 5x10, start with whatever you're comfortable with)
Incline press 3x10
Cable pull-downs 3x10
Cable fly 3x10
Dumbbell rows 3x10

Day 2:
Squat 5x5
Standing (more compound than sitting) shoulder bar press 5x5
Deadlift 5x5
Sitting dumbbell press 5x5

Make sure you have a rest day in between these two. Feel free to add your own workouts, and work in new ones every few months. Contrary to popular belief eat plenty of carbs. If you cardio for a few miles each on the offdays. Eat more often, eat less per meal, and stop eating when you're not hungry anymore. A ton of people have trouble with the last one.

LoL, wow, I missed some good posts last night! Hope you're sleeping it off, Agent B 😛 And man, I miss In N Out soooo bad!
 
So just press, deadlift, and squat? No rows, no curls, no anything else?

That's all you need. People have more complicated routines, but those three work, they'll make you strong quickly and grow quickly, and they'll get you out of the gym in 30~40 minutes.
