Thinking about selling my car to knock out a portion of my undergrad debt...

Meh.

Just kidding. I love my car too much.

Started reading up on high bar/low bar squats. I might try high bar to hit my quads more and replace hamstring work with more deadlift volume.

And I'm all like "ill have another slice of pizza" lol. Seriously. I'm ashamed. Ha

I got my interview suit at BR. They are one of the few places where everything seems to fit & looks good on me. But this summer they are on a weird kick where all of their womens clothes are either flaming orange, yellow, or green & those aren't really my colors.

Their pastel colored pants are beautiful! So is their mad men collection and their new Milly prints. Yeah...my girlfriend likes to take me shopping a lot...

Good luck! I was going to do that next week but it looks like everyone renting for July wants to have things figured out before then :/

Totally got a place. It is 12 minutes by car north of UWMC. The rent is only $820ish for a one bedroom and it is awesome.

I think I will post the details of it on the Facebook group. PM me if you want to hear about them first.

Still awake. Raging. 2017!!!!!!!!!!!!###&&\//

Explain yourself son.

Otherwise we have to assume that you're going to hate all of us in less than two months :scared:

Probably the god complex we will develop once we change our statuses to Med Student. 6 weeks for me lol.

Meant to get up early to go be in the pride parade with the nonprofit I work at. Instead woke up late covered in glitter. Whoops.

Sweet! I would love to have their info. Is there parking there?

$10 is nothing compared to some places I've seen.

Are they renting for July or August at this point?

So under my name there is this text that says "1k member" and some of you changed it to say something else (Sorcerer Supreme, etc). Where is that in the settings? I can't find it.

Northbrook place apartments.

I took a couple photos of the place, and it's pretty awesome.

Living room with a silhouette of BABS. It was the only one we took. And I should say I am over six feet tall so it is plenty big.

The best part is each unit has one of these.

Nice! And 4 miles out isn't too bad. I bike commute all year & 4 miles is about the commute I have now...It's not bad but it's usually enough to keep me from using the university library for studying in the winter. I've drawn this imaginary 4-mile circle around the medical center and said "I will not live outside of this," but I'm still not sure what to do about things on the edge of my circle. I'm talking to some folks about a cheap room ($475!!!) in the Central District, but I am still wondering if I should hold out for something slightly closer in.

But then again, a longer commute means I can never say I'm too busy for exercise since I have to do it to get to school.

That washer/dryer! I'd love one in my unit! Mine is coin operated and shared with five other apartments 🙁

I saw the pimping of so many unfortunate unsuspecting students at the hospital I was a transporter at. I caught a few crying in the stairwells.

My pride is my motivation to destroy the pre-clinical years (we'll see when we get there) and tackle that information so that I am not destroyed myself.

Heck, maybe I will be crying hysterically in the staircase one day, but at least I know I tried not to be in that position (fail 🙁 )

So yes, I am excited. LOL

Some attendings will literally ask you impossible questions just to crush you though....sometimes it doesnt matter how much you know. 🙁

I will convince my patients to throw up on them in exchange for tasty juice cups and saltine crackers. Well, that would only work in Detroit.

Let me tell you what is better than alcohol. Give salt to a cardiac patient who has dietary restrictions, and see him/her advocate for you for years to come.

I've caught so many repeat customers (patients who are admitted every couple of weeks) bringing salt and pepper shakers with them to the hospitals knowing full well what their dietary fate will be for the next three days.

The closer I was to campus, the less impressed I was because of the traffic, homeless problem (I saw a lot of homeless adults and kids) and noise from the undergrads. I suggest checking out the place in person before agreeing to anything.

That being said, you would have a biking partner if you lived by me and a fellow medical student as a neighbor. Plus, single rooms means you don't have to worry about housemate problems.
