I'm still disappointed by the game last night. It was a good game, but the Spurs should have closed it out. I don't like the Spurs, but I don't like the Heat even more. I don't think the Spurs will be able to pull it out.

<------ Orientation begins 8/12 :scared: with the White Coat Ceremony on 8/16 :highfive:

Wow! I guess we start super early? Orientation on July 15th white coat on the 26th. Already went and tried it on....it fit well hahaha

No kidding? Wow I'll be in school by then....

Orientation starts 8/4 for me. I'll be moving the day after my last day of work, so I have 2 weeks of chill time before the madness begins.

Does anybody else in here start in July? Or am I the only early bird???

No, one school to which I was accepted would've had an early program called ISAC (Dudeliness is in it) that began in June, regular classes in July. Another school to which I was accepted starts July 15th, too. There are a few, but by and large, most schools start sometime in August.
August 5 for me... I'm going to be camping pretty much the entire month of July. Can't wait!
Word! I'll be road tripping all of July with my beautiful, sweet, intelligent gf! 😍

Yeah it's really cool. Western U's campuses accept 20 students of 200 some matriculants on each campus to participate in an early and accelerated anatomy course based on GPA/MCAT. If you pass, you're exempt from the normal anatomy during the semester (except head & neck), freeing up a crap-ton of time. If you pass with a B or above, you're eligible to tutor students in anatomy for pay in addition to the above perks of being exempt (still, except head & neck, as it's not covered in the accelerated version). Either way, if you pass, it also goes in your dean's letter as an honor. It was a great deal. I wish more places offered something similar. But I just wasn't feeling the school (and its insane Cost of Attendance, even WITH a partial scholarship). So I passed. Sucks, too, 'cause it was in Cali.

...and because we'd only be like 20 miles away 😉

I'm still so excited about last night's game. I can't read enough about it.

Yeah. I will say that after watching the replays again that final block by Bosh probably should've been called a foul, but after all those questionable calls against Miami during regulation I don't really care.

Orientation is August 26th and classes officially start in september!

We also don't have a white coat ceremony until the end of second year, just before clinicals.

🙁

??
You guys don't wear short white coats during the first two years? Or you just don't have a ceremony?

That's actually really surprising to me. 😕

:woot::woot::woot:

mcloaf and The Beyonder! We should meet up and order drinks to celebrate Heat's success as the NBA CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE SPURS WILL BE DESTROYED IN GAME 7!!

Man, it's really hard to start packing up my stuff when I know I'm not leaving until Sunday. So much procrastination to be done.

I second these questions...

Yeah, a friend of mine had his brother go through it. They call it the "clinical transition ceremony" but it is where we get the white coat (or so I am told).

The first year students have a stethoscope ceremony.

Definitely was a foul, but if you call that you have to call all the times Lebron went to the hole and got no call. Only reason that game was close is because they are not making those calls.

Definitely. I'm actually surprised LeBron is able to keep his cool considering how often he gets legit bodyslammed going to the rim and it's not called. I'd be getting technicals left and right if people were doing that **** to me and not getting called.

I'm surprised some Spur fans were complaining about that final foul considering the fortunate calls they were getting all night. I guess they got use to the refs bailing them out.

LeBron is the true MVP who makes those idiots eat plastic wire for throwing the yellow tape.

Not gonna happen in Game 7. Bye bye Spurs. Your undefeated reign in the NBA Finals will be destroyed by the LeBron-Wade-Bosh trio.

Yeah Heat will win 7 for sure....

Ever since the Yellow Line Incident and the nightmare of the 2011 debacle... the Heat will make sure to destroy the Spurs in Game 7. Those useful idiots did us a favor by activating the Heat.
