Class of 2017!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Finally, anatomy over. No more remembering which nerves hitchhike with CN V3.

Oh wait, neuro's next. 🙁

Watching Grey's Anatomy. None of the docs in the show have heard of Li Fraumeni. *******es.

Conference season! Better bust out the button ups and ties again.

Important wisdom from a second year: "You don't choose UW for the curriculum, you choose it for your classmates."

Everything makes sense now.

Crushed that cardio exam. Booyahhh

I was invited to a dinner with my musculoskeletal "TA" that is an orthopedic surgeon. It was at his $6.5 million dollar home. I have never been in a house as big or beautiful as his. I doubt we will all get something that nice, but it was definitely a pleasure to see someone that made it through the hell and is financially (very extremely) stable.

I think being in raised in the PNW has made me feel way to happy to hear rain. Definitely nice and relaxing to listen to while studying.

On the darker side of things, immuno final in an hour and a half. It is all old step 1 questions and it is making me nervous. Those questions are tough, especially when you haven't had any pharm or micro classes. Let's hope they screened those questions out and not have a repeat of last year where more than 10 people failed the final.

On the bright side, I now go to a top 10 medical school.

Personally more of a http://www.rainymood.com/ fan.

Nice... what are you doing? Interviewing? Physical exam stuff?

It was just HPI and social and family history practice, nothing too crazy. Seemed like it went fine...I guess I'll find out if I have to remediate when scores get posted in a couple of weeks.

During my last standardized patient interview we focused on sexual history taking. The patient was an exotic dancer and was supposed to come on to the student interviewer. She gave a really hilarious performance.

Gotta get to know your patients.

That would be awesome if a student fell for it and tried to get that number. If they are anything like our SPs they are mostly overweight and in their 40/50s. Haha!

Haha, I don't think anyone fell for it. My school likes to give us situations like that for some reason. Or make them come in for something very different than their chief complaint.

Our last final is in 24 hours and I haven't started studying, and I have to speak at a scholarship fundraising event tonight. This isn't going to be good.

I usually just want to sleep for a day after an exam haha

Yup pretty much.

Classmates: "why didn't you come out last night?"
Me: "I was sleeping... you know, the thing you all have been bitching about not getting enough of for the last week?"

Not really, but that's what I'm always thinking.

My exam days usually involve heading straight to the bar and day drinking as soon as the exam is over.
I go workout and eat after, but close enough..

EDIT: I meant I do that before proceeding to get schwasty-faced. Next Thursday is going to be awesome. @dyspareunia

Plugging for the FB group. If you'd like to join (you must be a class of 2017 medical student), PM the link to your profile. Once we're friends, I'll add you to the group, and you can un-friend me afterward so I can't stalk your photos... or whatever...

Is it a private group? As in nobody knows I'm in it but other SDN nerds?
