I totally agree. But more than that, the people with attitudes who give stupid remarks to every newbie asking questions annoys me more.

Yeah agree. Sure, they can find the answers to most of their questions if they search the forums but there's no need to be mean all the time.

And don't get me started on all the doomsayers about how doctors will be miserable in the future. As much as there are truths in what they say, I just don't want to keep reading about how being a doctor will suck in the future every single day

SERIOUSLY! I honestly cannot STAND some of the people on here who act so high and mighty and post "witty" one-liners to pre-med's innocuous, genuine questions on here. It's kind of ridiculous how many people they tear down just to increase their reputation on this website. Even some of the really legit people on here (*coughcough*) who I have respect for say some extremely douchey things to people. Yes there are trolls, but there are also some people who ask well-intentioned, if redundant, questions. Maybe they just forgot to use the search function. That's no reason to act as if they're the devil's spawn or something. It just kind of riles me up.

The trolls just be trollin'.

I guess it's beacuse they have gotten flamed before for asking such questions because i know i have 😳

Exactly! I am done with all my requirements, spent hours doing all the standard premed ECs (volunteering, leadership, research whatever), am about to take the MCAT in two weeks and spent my whole summer busting my butt off studying, and these guys honestly think that I am gonna stop wanting to be a doctor when I read one of there gloom and doom threads? Granted, there are many things I am not happy with the current situation of the health care in the states either. But just give it a rest already. Stop discouraging people with your doomsday scenarios
