I'm about to try and graduate a year earlier than planned so I can hang out with you guys in here. My group are all offline doing things in the real world, like having a life... What's that all about?! 🙂

I completely agree with you but it just turns out that college is not what i want rather a hoop i must jump to get to the real deal.

You can totally kick ochems butt! A lot of people find it easier than the other pre-reqs. It was my favorite pre-req by far.

You want to know what sucks about doing a transfer degree at a CC? By the time you transfer to a 4yr the only thing left to take is upper sci courses. So instead of a nice cushy semester with 2 sci classes and a humanities or fine arts class, you get 4 sci classes 🙁

I don't know about other schools, but at my school the upper divs are harder, but the professors are better and the tests are not tricky. I think that makes the tests more bearable. All my pre-req tests have been super tricky and profs would test lots of material they didn't cover. I hated the choose the most incorrect answer choice tests the most. I find the upper div classes are usually more interesting, too.

Yeah, it's just a lot of drawing molecules, but I've learned that drawing things out has helped me learn much better.

YES! Definitely get it! It helped me so much! I think you won't even need the textbook if you have that book

Well, the one thing I don't like is that sometimes the CC classes are TOO easy. I took general bio 1 Spring and I don't feel like I learned anything. He pretty much gave us the questions and answers to his test. Sets you up for failure.

Molecular model kit...I think? I only used them for parts of orgo 1 with stereochem and stuff. It became useless to me after learning the tricks.

Organic? Ochem is an art form. Art with rules or Sudoku with pictures.

My friends that took biochem last year told me about remember everything single detail for the processes in cellular respiration and all the molecules along with it. There's a lot more stuff, but I can't exactly remember....You'll probably touch some of it in orgo.

I don't know about you but my cc was hard. i mean the professor also teaches at our local state 4 year university and he uses the same lecture notes and exam formats he uses for his 4 year uni. i i had to work my ass of to make that A and i learned enough to take the mcat but we'll see how that goes 🙂
