Tots...since you're gonna be in NY the weekend of my MCAT anyway, can you take it for me :help:

Man just did the bio passages in "Kaplan 45" those questions were rough but lots of lovely immunology.

Some of the kaplan materials are pretty darn hard and hits topics I didn't even know I had to know 😳

Huh, what's Kaplan 45...?

And you guys posted so many pages I can't hope to catch up! Oh wellz.

I'm feeling sooooo horrible about the MCAT today. Blahhhh!

Good luck, SU!

Hahahaha, I am not assassinated! I am merely sick: I think I might have bronchitis 😱 This totally stinks. My throat hurts like a mothah.

He didn't say he assassinated, he said he did what he had to 😀...He gave you bronchitis 😛

I came out of the woodwork just for this. Love it. You guys are my kind of people.

Hahahahaha YAY I love when people come out of the woodwork and into awesomeness! Welcome to, like, the best thread ever 😎

Me, too 🙁

Maybe Tots should have assassinated me, for all the good this MCAT will bring me. But yeah, what's Kaplan 45? I just took the course but I haven't heard of that.

Maybe I should take a practice Kaplan PS section tonight, after finishing reviewing AAMC 8 and reviewing a bit of bio. I need to work on PS timing...

This shortness of breath is ALL YOUR FAULT Tots, ALL YOUR FAULT.

Kaplan sections tests are a bit harder than other stuff, imo. It might end up being a good thing 👍

Wow so much tots hate 😀

And its a workbook called "Kaplan MCAT 45: Advanced Prep for Advanced Students - Master the questions that most people got wrong"

This: http://www.amazon.com/Kaplan-MCAT-4...0128/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1313965267&sr=8-1

Hahahaha you know we love you.

Ahhh I see, I don't think I qualify as an advanced student so I shouldn't bother with it 😛

Yeah, it's the only section test I have available, so I might as well do a Kaplan one, at least to get the timing down. I still have so much content to go through, it's insane! I feel like with physics, gchem, and ochem content-wise I've gone through/have a basic understanding of most of it, but with bio, for some reason, I have a ton of gaps. What gives?

Immunology is so interesting! I don't think we need to know it too in-depth, just the major stuff about innate vs. adaptive, humoral vs. cell-mediated. Khan Academy taught me all I know about humoral 😀

Not advanced enough for it 🙁

I don't think you really need to be advanced to get a lot from it. It has some very concise tips on tackling difficult problems. Its real value is the passages though...nice tough passages. Not sure if it is worth the money though.

You're worrying about bio so much, but you're so good at bio 😱😱

I'm not planning on buying any more books for the MCAT even if I retake it. I think I have more than enough books already

30 (all subsections 10s) in AAMC 8 😡😡😡😡🙁🙁🙁

It's supposed to be the hardest of them all but that doesn't make me feel any better

Keep it up! You did great! Especially if it is the hardest one...then there is only room for improvement on the real thing!

You're worrying about bio so much, but you're so good at bio 😱😱

Awwww tman that means a lot. I love love LOVE the bio stuff on the mcat, but for some reason I'm super worried about it. There's a ton of cell bio I don't remember at all, and still a bunch of physiology I'm weak on (like muscles). I should probably worry more about physical sciences... since I'm so bad at it 😱 Bahhhh today is just a major freakout day.

Hey, bro, that's a good score!!!! It looks like we're pretty much in the same boat: we're getting consistent scores in the 30's, and evening out between sections. My score on AAMC 8 was 10/11/10, so if I can be happy with mine, you can defz be happy with yours! Great job! Honestly, if I score a 10/11/10 on the real thing I'm not retaking.

Oh, wow, is AAMC 8 considered the hardest one? I did think the BS was pretty difficult on that one. And one of the PS passages was absolutely killer.

🙂🙂 I think with a little push you're gonna do great on the real thing! Hopefully you score your highest on every section :luck:

Awww thanks tman-dizzle! 🙂🙂 I needed that haha  I think you'll surprise yourself too, you've already broken 30, the sky is now the limit 😀

I guess you are right. Anything above 30 is really good and I should be happy... KP, when are you taking the MCAT? Are you done with your content review and FLs?

And yeah, I think it's considered the hardest. Just a quick search yields these threads: 😀

BS was really hard! Which PS passage did you think was the absolute killer? My bet is on the one about magnetism 😀

Hmm, so aamc 8 is the hardest and 10&11 are most like the real thing 😕

I'm an odd case, really. I feel like missed certain things that I normally wouldn't. This summer really was filled with too much stress...

Oh shiz! I only have the EK books. I dunno what else to buy for sure yet haha. There's always so much stuff random stuff like this to decide, I get lost. 😳

8 definitely had some crazier Ochem imho and too much physiology for my tastes.

The EK books are good for content REVIEW if you took the classes and understood the concepts well. The BR really have the best practice passages imho so even if you use something else for content review it might be worth it to get the BR books just for the passages.
