Is Touro bad? I don't know much about DO schools (as I said, I still have to do my research)

Yeah. I get annoyed at people that get into a med school, but wont go because they didn't get into their top school. Is it really worth wasting another year to "maybe" get into the school of your choice? Going through the application process will make a person crazy enough...

Idk touro is raggidy... I think the match rates are bad, and not many get into competitive specialties etc.


I would only stick with schools like tcom, pcom, nycom is alright and i forget the others i have a list somewhere.

Lucky! I'd love to have a relative that can write me a letter of rec. I know that my cousins husband does research in Louisiana...Maybe I'll ask him if I can be his research assistant over winter break 😀:xf:

I think the major problem with this whole application process is you have people who don't apply right and could care less whats going on.

All the schools you apply too should be the schools if you were accepted you would accept their offer rather then decline and wait another year becasue it wasn't your top.

Also, you have a lot of people who complain that they didn't get in and they had good scores/ec's etc. But the main reasons is because they either applied very late, and MOST LIKELY applied to schools they didn't even have a chance at!-(Competitive schools) So many idiots, they need to be smart when applying <------ this is the main thing to get an acceptance in my opinion.

I'm with you on that. I don't understand how some people can get such high grades, but have absolutely no common sense. Do some research the first time before you waste your time and money.

yea still have a lot of room. My desk is freaking huge and built into the wall which kinda sucks, because the desk is kinda at my upper chest when i sit down which is too tall ;/ I'm planning on getting a smaller desk for my laptop and put it right next to my big one so i can study there or something. It's uncomfortable sitting at my desk.

:laugh::laugh: No way! Personally I'd go to med school almost anywhere. Of course that may change once I do more research, but we'll see 😛

Yeah, my desk is too tall, as well. It's a pain in the arse sometimes. There isn't enough space for me to study on it 🙁

Only apply there if you have like a 25 on your MCAT or even lower.

They speak Bengali. My parents only speak Bengali at home so I'm fluent in speaking it.

Nice! It's good to be fluent in multiple languages!

Did you ever go back to Bangladesh after you came to the states? I go back to Turkey pretty much every summer (except for this)

Sadly, America is the only country where the majority of the people only speak one language. All other countries everyone speaks 2 or more languages fluently.
