Unfortunately. I gotta stop cramming now. It sucks cause I knew what the hell I was doing for the most part, but I skipped a few things cause I thought the fatal "Oh, he won't test that" idea. The timing though is what killed me. I guess I gotta work faster too...Hopefully for the next test, I can walk out not missing ~15 points of info. =(

That's how I felt with my organic exam. I feel really crummy about it today. Hopefully, we both did fine. 🙂

I hate when I say to myself "that's not that important" and it's on the test. I'm sure you'll feel much better about the next test now that you have an idea about it.

i am a depressed ball of depression. got a 80% on my first chemistry quiz ...*siiiigghhhh******
 
I think I've gotten really neurotic since college started. I've been so anal about keeping my 4.0 that I'm already starting to look ahead to other material so I don't mess up future tests. I wish I didn't embody the typical premed going ape**** over grades. It makes me feel bad. 🙁

I just wish college was over. I hate having to deal with heavy competition to get into med school. I guess it won't get any better once we're in. I hate dealing with competition. Why can't we all be friends?
 
And I'm sure you did fine on your test Shy! Make sure you're at the top of your class!

i get depressed when i get anything below an A on a quiz..like it sets my ENTIRE day off..like rgith now :scared: 😡

I know how you feel. It sucks when most of your friends are premed as well, and when someone does better than the other on a test or quiz, they always subtly rub it in everyone else's face. It's kind of annoying. They aren't being jerks about it, but i always detect a hint of smugness behind their comments. And in med school, I guess a whole bunch of these folks are thrown together in the same class. Hopefully the maturity increases in med school.

ughhh I know what you mean. It makes my skin craawwwlll!! It doesn't feel right when I don't have that A. Like, I know it's ONLY a quiz, and only got a 80%, but it feels like the world has completely shifted, and I'm no longer the person I was, and everything I do from now on will just give me Bs.

Yeah, I feel you. I am glad they drop tests and quizzes. I'm praying that I did really well on this test so it doesn't count as one of my dropped tests. It sucks cause my parents are pushing me to keep my 4.0 and graduate with it, and if they hear that I got < A, then they give me like a guilt trip. It's almost depressing that I get so worked up over it.

Yeah, I can't wait. These will be the longest 11ish days of my life. I'm just praying for something outrageously high so I have a good chance at my state schools. I'm just so paranoid about everything right now.

Yeah, fortunately the pre-meds here aren't too gunnerish, but I give myself such stiff competition from myself 🙂confused🙂 that it's enough, haha.

What an absolutely crazy day. Had four classes, saw SO MANY PEOPLE that I haven't seen all summer, and went from one social event to the other. It was like no other day, haha, especially since my homework load for Monday is fairly light. The only problem: my statistics professor is absolutely insane and it looks as if that class will be completely ridiculous, in all the worst ways. I'll probably have to drop it and take something else, but I'm not sure what. I might even take Chinese 😀😀😀 Or Spanish, or a history class. I'm more excited for next semester: Microbiology, Physiology, Spanish Independent Study, and Statistics. Oooooooh.

Oh, and my poetry writing workshop class is soooooo chill and cool so far.

If we only had 8 I might have passed with an A because I wouldn't have felt like a number!!!

I'm sick with strep throat. We should stop kissing! 😛
I'm taking organic at the community college. My teacher says that she has had people transfer from her class to schools all around the country such as Harvard, MIT, and Cornell. My sister who transferred to BYU is studying chemical engineering and suggested that I take it there because of the excellent teacher and small class size.

The bad thing about small class sizes is that she asks a lot of questions, and you are required to participate. The good thing is, I have to pay attention and be gunnerish in order to try to always know the answer if she calls on me.
 
I feel like even though the SDN community is probably on the upper tier as far as pre-health students are concerned, they appear to be less gunnerish than the folks I meet in real life. Hopefully I'll meet less gunner classmates in the future. It's annoying when people make snide comments just to assert their "dominance" or whatever you wanna call it. I guess that's what I get for going to a massive school.
