This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
felt like someone needed to reply to your various smilies so here :woot:

in other news, nyc is getting snow tomorrow. Just gotta make sure I wake up and study lol

We got some snow yesterday 😱 And it actually stuck...first snow (sticking) of the year

yeah i think its the first since halloween haha

ill send some your way too tatertots!

Yeah. The weather has been totally crazy. We get snow in october and none for the next couple months when it's supposed to snow

How much snow did you get??

AAMC 10 --> 12/10/15 (37). Man, that scale on verbal sucks, I was one question away from an 11.

Baumann you are my inspiration for studying in between my school. Awesome job.

NYC got 3-6 I think.

Haha thanks! 🙂

For anyone in 2017 who is thinking of getting SDN mobile, I'd highly recommend it. Didn't know if I'd like it but it is one smooth app 👍

It's amazing. It fosters my already over-developed SDN addition.

From the Class of 2016 thread, I approve this message 👍

Hello! Been super bored all day 😴 SDN Mobile App for free?? Sounds awesome! 😀

You missed it! It was for free before new years!
This helps me get through pchem 2 because otherwise that class would be :banghead:

Oh really? I was without internet access from the 28th to the 1st so I must've missed out!

And pchem 2? Sounds brutal. I'm glad I just need a-chem

ya pchem is brutal. I got an A last semester when it was quantum mechanics, but downside was postponing the MCAT.

this semester better be...better 😡

Good luck! I have no idea if the second semester is better since I decided not to become a chemistry major just so I could avoid Pchem(and probably lab) =P

2nd semester PChem (so far) is better because it is so much like Inorganic AND because I have a nice prof 🙂 We'll see how it goes, I have a midterm in about a week...

You chem major. Are you taking Chemical Biology? That professor was one of my favorites and I loved that class....albeit it was not easy.

No I'll take it Senior year, tried to clear my schedule this quarter to study for the MCAT.

I just realized I wrote 2nd "semester" up there .... lulz you people confusing me.

This semester is state mec and thermo. Should be easier. The teacher is super-nice but the material is not interesting to me. Its the only science I'm taking now for time for mcat as well...

Is it still snowing in New York? I really don't look forward to getting back to class now...

Technically, not yet 🙁 While you are all a bunch of lovely people, my worst nightmare is to have to start posting here :scared:

We understand 🙂 Best of luck to you!! Still have a few months to go, hang in there [:

If things don't work out we would welcome you with open arms, but hopefully everything works out for you this cycle! :luck::luck:

It took me a second to figure out how Bauman traveled to the future up there ^^ hahah

Anyways, question: I'm almost officially half-way through my MCAT studying (!!) and although my schedule (SN2ed's) doesn't say to take an AAMC practice test until the very end, I want to try one out just to see. What's a good non-official one to take? Like TPR, EK, or whoever....??
Gracias 🙂

You can always just take 3. Its not terribly predictive but a good introduction into the format. The EK books come with a paper exam that I took and it was ok....I would be cautious about taking a kaplan or TPR free test....I feel like they just want you to take their course. What day is your MCAT? If you have time/money it might be worth it to purchase the TBR tests. I thought they were good practice before my AAMC tests. To be honest, taking practice tests were easily the best use of my time and helped the most.

April 5th. I didn't want to start taking the official ones until I was done reading all the material. I've been using the TBR books/passages, are the exams as difficult? I was told TBR was a bit harder than the actual test.. that's why I wanted to try out something close to the real thing. So I guess #3 could work or I'll just get the TBR ones.

I would in general they are harder but at the same time I thought they were great practice for the AAMC exams. They are not terribly harder.
