Dude, I went for love over money. I know I'll fare way better academically at a school that I love and breaks my bank rather than being miserable at a school that saves me like $40k. I think I could've done UT for $60k a year and probably can do OHSU for $70k a year. We'll see how these budgets pan out... Plus, as I mentioned earlier, OHSU has that $250 monthly rent option for which I can apply. UT Memphis had a $350 option, but a far less desirable city/school opportunities.

Yeah, cheaper option's always the best.

Thanks Guero! I don't think the odds of me getting off the waitlist are great (I had a pretty robotic interviewer who I didn't particularly connect with), but it's my top choice so I have to try. 🙂

I think if you're active for few years, then you are remembered. Look at all those 5+/7+/10+ year members... those guys are super powers! Of course, as long as the mods love us (and we behave), it's definitely possible to reside in SDN for few more years to come, even when we are busy with medical school and residency.
