Yeah, I will PM if you like but basically I am in the Health Science West building, there are 16 floors and I am on the 15th.

I watch it. I am really hoping to see some positive posts in there soon.

One of my friends applied to 34 schools and got zero interview invites so I know what they are going through. I felt bad when I had my sixth interview invite and they found out and yet they still congratulated me.

Yep, it was all because of the personal statement.

Her PS started off so strong. It was one of the best things that I had ever read. Like I thought she would get a full ride scholarship to any school she applied to. Throughout the entire thing I just wanted her to become a doctor and I had no doubts about her ability to succeed and help people.

Then the last two paragraphs removed that feeling. Seriously, she talked about how she was inferior to her peers and how she lacked many things in her application. She brought up poor grades, lack of research, etc. and everything. They were things I wouldn't have noticed except she focused on that for like 2-3 paragraphs. 😕

Why would you do that to yourself?!?!? It was so amazing for 5/6 of it and then immediately the worst thing I read for the last 1/6.

She isn't applying this cycle. She is taking 2 years off to do a masters program.

But, yes, thankfully we don't have to do this **** again until residency.

Could not imagine doing this again. SDN has to make that feeling worst when everyone else is getting accepted.

Kidding! I know what they are going through and we have a huge experiment coming up. We have to be ready for it. That's only half the media that we need.

My friends had a going away dinner for the 3 of us going to medical school and we all got balloon animal hats. The day has been redeemed.
