Went to the doctor today and got a physical. Got blood taken for the fifty million titers I need. Also got a PPD for free, because apparently nobody knew the office wouldn't be open on Saturday, so I have to get another one at another time plus a third one to complete the whole "two-step" jazz. Doc also wanted me to get a fasting lipid panel for sh*ts and giggles (mom has high chol).

tl;dr, I have four doctor's appointments over the next three weeks.

EDIT: Forgot to say that the struggle is real.

Yeah, that's true. Walking into my kitchen this morning was pretty tough.

It's no Tacoma narrows, but it is still pretty shocking to see a bridge collapse that hasn't been closed. I wonder how many other bridges are close to collapsing that are still in use.

They updated the main picture on the page. It looks like everyone is fine and they are sitting on top of their cars waiting to be rescued.

I drove to Seattle & back yesterday, and for a second I thought this was a bridge I went over. It wasn't, so not really a close call. Glad it looks like it was a relatively harmless event.

Also, Tacoma narrows: coolest bridge failure of all time.

I just learned that the bridges failure wasnt caused by resonance like every physics teacher taught me, but rather aeroelastic flutter. Totally lied to!

Yeah, I thought that would be enough, too. But then a week later they're like "type out a formal letter and include 3 paragraphs and all of these details then print it out, sign it, scan it, and forward it to me" :smack:

July 3rd! And I can't wait!

They just "promoted" me too. I say "promoted" because now I am in charge of the lab but didn't get a pay raise. Basically I now have to do a lot more for the same pay.
