Heck, I get that 🙄 feeling even in my major/classes. Why, yes, I have met and memorized the names of everyone in my 1200 person Biology class.

It sucks sometimes, but I rather have 20,000 or so fresh starts than have everyone in my school know about me from the first week on.

This is why Canada is great. Legal at 18 and love it. 😀 There is nothing like having a study beer on Saturday without worrying about campus alcohol violations. Or going out the Friday after all your midterms are done and not having to scrounge up a fake.

The riot occurred because of the calamity of the allegations against Sandusky compounded with the sudden resignation of the president of the university and, of course, the dismissal of the greatest head coach in the history of college football mid-season. It was a combination of all these things that upset so many people here.

The fact that the actions (or lack thereof) of a handful of individuals could effectively tarnish the reputation that thousands of people have worked hard to build is disheartening, to say the least. My organic professor was almost in tears today talking about the effects this scandal could have on not only his reputation, but also our reputations as we will soon be graduates of Penn State.

Guys, I think I'm in love...with Physics. I don't know why, but I just love working the problems and learning new concepts. Even though it's probably the toughest class I've ever taken, it's definitely my favorite. 🙂

This is like engineering and me. I love it for the reasons you state, but every class is ridiculously hard. I like applying what I'm learning, which is why I think I want to go to a med school that does PBL well. It's good thing my in-state school is known for the quality of it's PBL.

EDIT: who else used their 11:11 11/11/11 wish to ask to get into their first choice school? 😀

I feel ya about the riots. While you guys were rioting over sports, my school was rioting over tuition. Riot police, accusations of police brutality, and students literally invaded and occupied the administration buildings.

I do, in the free clinic and as an emt. Both use a littmann classic and it works great (ambulance as you know is a little harder to listen). Personally, I'd go with the classic because if you lose the newer one or it gets stolen, thats a lot of money down the drain
