I think it is time to buy a new coat holder LOL:laugh: It's like playing Jenga, every time I take a jacket away, or put one back, I get a mini adrenaline rush. Ahhhh... the life of a broke college student. I want a fancy Ikea wardrobe! 🙂

I agree. How is everyones return to class?

For me, i'm only taking 3 classes to graduate from my CC. My statistics class is going to be a piece of cake... a teacher who says 'my whole purpose is for you to have fun in this class and not be scared of statistics'+'I never give any of my students below a C'+'I encourage you to have a cheat sheet for exams and I will give extra credit for the neatest one'=Almost guaranteed A lol

My chem class is with the same professor as last semester and it was very time consuming, so to hear him say 'This class is a bit more rigorous than the last', wasn't music to my ears.

My physics class is going to be work too! But the teacher really explains it well, it is just a LOT of information. Our first class was last night and I took 15 pages of notes. 15 PAGES!!! Lol. But it was mainly example questions, which is the best way I learn.

Well, all my grades are in. No fails, but not too much improvement on my blackhole of a GPA.

Let's get 'em this semester, 18ers! 😀 I'm already in the library, taking post-class notes like a boss.
 
Haven't gone back to class yet, I have exactly one week left of break :/ I'm aiming for at least a 3.8 this semester. That would do wonders for my GPA
 
My intro to microeconomics class ends on Friday when I have a midterm and a final on the same day.

I start my spring semester on Tuesday with my first class of the semester being elementary Spanish I

I also started, it has been a rather un-eventful start to the year. I have nothing to do right now, in one of the classes we haven't even started looking at the course material after two lectures.

That is scary as ****, if it's anything like last year we'll be applying before we know it...
 
That is a scary thought, but I look forward to it. Its really the feeling I know we will get once we get in somewhere that I look forward to
 
I have never had a busier semester start, nor one where I have just been so unmotivated to do ANYTHING. I know I can't not do anything, because falling behind is the worst possible way to start, but I just can't focus on anything other than who got sent home from the Bachelor on Sunday. Anyone else feeling the blahs?

I have had the exact opposite experience, so much motivation and hardly any work. Think on the bright side, you have a 3 day weekend to get caught up!

S'all good. We have better maple syrup and way more snow (but, unsurprisingly, no such things as snow days), but my sacrifice is giving up MLK Day.

... can I write a disadvantaged student essay about this? 😉 :laugh:

Anyways, after a day of literally not getting out of bed and watching TV and eating only Tostitos, I am ready to roll. I think I just needed to get all my break out of my system all at once.

I feel the same way. I just have ZERO energy. I have been in a lazy, no energy, state of mind for about two weeks now and it doesn't help that I am sleep deprived 🙁

But I was in a slump last semester too and I done just fine. I mean, I am only taking three classes now so I know I have more than enough time to do everything. STICK WITH IT 🙂
 
Know what sucks? When you have submitted all the materials for your application to a summer program but one of your LoR writers forgets to do their part.

OMG I know what you mean! I just emailed about my SMDEP LOR and it is such an easy form but he was like 'Sorry the first week back is always so busy. I'll do it next week!'

Grr... It would take you 5 mins to circle some numbers; everything else has already been filled out. How annoying! I feel your pain 🙂 What program did you apply to?

http://www.cshl.edu/education/urp Posted the link, because I'm not sure if anyone else has heard of this one. 🙂 But yeah, they sent e-mails to the two LoR writers that I registered. The first one, he submitted his with no problem. My second writer though, who also happens to be my advisor, confirmed the e-mail but didn't submit hers; they were due yesterday. 🙁
 
Pretty good first day of the semester so far. I had Elementary Spanish I, Immunology, and Human Learning and Memory. Tomorrow all I have is Intermediate Macroeconomics I, Organic Chemistry II, and Psychopharmacology.
 
how many credits is your elementary spanish? The class at my school is 5 credits so I am assuming it is a rigorous/time consuming course.

3 credit hours. But then again I do live in Nuejvo Mexico, so Espanol is viewed as a slacker class. 😀

Quite the exact opposite for me last semester. (A in Chem and B in Physics). Have you tried FreelanceTeach on YouTube? The guy is a genius!
 
Holy balls I've been busy. I'm on campus 6 days a week minimum, because the graduate student I'm doing research with is only open on Saturdays.

I can get some nice MCAT studying in w/ EK Audio Osmosis during my long bike rides, though. I got through the whole organic and half of the inorganic chem sections today 👍

Not too bad. The workload has been mellowish, but my Human Learning and Memory and Intermediate Macroeconomics classes are fairly reading intensive.

So I was looking over my plans for classes and it looks like i'll have to take at least 9credits while I am studying for my MCAT in order to graduate with my bachelors before I start. 🙁 I didn't want to take any classes but I have no choice if I want to graduate.

When are you guys starting to study? We should have skype study dates! 🙂 I am taking it next spring. I'll take organic 1 over the summer and then phys 2 and organic 2 over fall. I will do my last day of finals for fall semester and then the very next day crack open the MCAT books. No christmas break for me! Lol 🙂

Cool! I am a sophomore by year but a junior by hours. I am majoring in Chemical-Biomolecular Engineering and I am minoring in biology. I thought about a minor in psychology but I couldn't fit it into my schedule.
 
It's actually not too bad because of the Biomolecular concentration. Basically all of my pre-med req. are in the curriculum and the concentration adds in more biology classes so there are only 3-4 classes that are a little off base. I got a really tough one out of the way in Thermodynamics so I am happy about that. 🙂

Been a Bronco fanatic since I was born. Good to finally see some progress out of them and man what a season. So proud of them!! Now just some more defensive impact players and offensive weapons with some Elway magic on Tebow and we have got the makings...

Hey, I'm ChemE specializing in biological engineering as well! It's actually harder at my university than straight ChemE. I still love it, though. I'm guessing you'll have to take more than one thermo class, though. I'm on my third right now. Nature of the beast, and all.

What classes are you taking this semester?
