The most important decision I will make in my life (so far at least). Where do I spend the next 8 years? 😱😕 Thankfully, I will be so busy for the rest of this year that I won't have the time to think about it much. 😳

I am trying to make sure I finish my Master's thesis and get accepted to medical school, but if I get accepted and don't finish I'm going to be in trouble and vice a versa. I'm trying to strike the right balance of interviews without cutting myself short.

If things are going the way they're going, it'll take that long before I'm verified. I'm never gonna get to meet any of you on the interview trail am I 🙁
 
everyone should push their dates of interviews into Dec-Feb so they get to meet me. Since I'm pretty sure that's when my interview season will start. Hopefully, it won't be too cold/snowing when my time to interview starts

I might consider that. All of mine seem to land in September. I don't think my profs will see me for the first month of classes. Thank goodness they all seem like nice people!

I'm getting VERY nervous about my interviews in Miami. Even though being invited for an interview is a positive sign, I'm worried that I'm likely interviewing for a spot on their waitlist.

lolwut? Its only Sept bro, chill. I'd be worried about being interviewed for a spot on the waitlist if the interview was in Feb/March, or the specifically tell you. You got this 👍

Thanks guys, I appreciate the vote of confidence. As excited as I am to be interviewing this month, I'm still weary that I may not have a fresh breath of relief come mid october.

In other news, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and The League start tonight. Ahh, Fall has arrived 😀 😀 😀
 
Just finished my first day at the new job. I read like 150 pages of grant proposals 🙁

To have an interview before October 15th is definitely a good sign that they want you for real. It's the super late interviews that are for the wait list. You'll be good Mr. Bean.

Is it generally humid in the south? We had a random humid day last week and I think I almost died. I can't imagine it being like that all the time...

yeah it was quite humid last week, all that rain in the mountains turned into humidity down here.

Its been such a mild summer, I guess the weather finally realized it was summer and is trying to cram all the heat in these last few weeks. Normally I wouldn't mind, but I've usually been in places with decent AC. I've got like 2 fans blaring and its only blaring working

👎 Sorry SS. My apartment has AC, but I was at a birthday party last weekend at an apartment without AC and we had to close the windows because of noise complaints. I think that was the only time I've ever left a party at 11.
 
Got off work 2 hours ago. Work again in less than 7. Haven't slept yet. Ughhhh!

I honestly think I'm gonna stick with my current list. I might add other schools like Einstein, Iowa, and Temple. I'm gonna have another talk with my postbac director to see if I should change anything. I've gotten 7 pre-written secondaries though.

I just wish AMCAS wasn't taking their sweet ass time with verifying though.

Seriously, it's ridiculous. Hopefully I'll get an October 13th week acceptance to one of my top 3 so I can cancel the others.
