hahahhaha....good idea! I think we are doing both, who knows...but it's amazing what the mind can do. I once told mine that if you dont shut up so i can study, i'll use the pink ducktape to ducktape you and she thought i was gettin' kinky LMAO....

Hmm I'm trying to decide whether or not to apply to be a TA for next quarter. Gen or o chem for about 20h/wk commitment. The other things I'm doing is 3 cr of classes, 10-15 h/wk research, 4 h/wk volunteering, MCAT prep. Pretty easygoing quarter with plenty of time to prepare for the exam without the TA-ing, but with it might be a bit tight.
Also I sort of haven't started studying for the MCAT...less than 3 months left Q.Q

I say take the load that's going to give you enough free time for the MCAT. Given the amount of importance this test has, that should priority #1 other than doing great in your classes.

I'm less than a week away from getting my score and I'm getting so nervous. :scared:

I'm thinking that too...but only having 3 hours of classes + 15 hours of research a week seems kind of bare. Like going-crazy-in-the-house bare. I guess underloaded is better than overloaded 🙄

Am having such a hard time getting motivated to study......went through a prep book over winter break but my practice score didn't budge (sigh.) And my s/o got a 37 prepping at the same time as an EMT class, which is super not contributing to even a bit of panic 😕
 
@turayza TA was the best thang I did. The interactions with students and help them to understand stuff = priceless. I was doing 3 labs/week, total hour = 30 hrs, actually worked hours = 15-20.

4 hrs in lab each = 12
3 office hrs
grading + composing quiz + writing lecture tests + meeting = 5 hrs.

What course did you TA for? I just recall the extremely boring chem labs and not particularly wanting to relive that lolol

I think so? He actually applied this cycle (complete in September, applied to 8 of the top 20s -_____-;;;; #shootyourselfinfoot ) but my money's on him reapplying this upcoming cycle.

Ah, Saturday. Only 3 weeks left in the quarter for me, it's like a tsunami of final papers :hurting:

I did gen chem and o chem. Well my bud and I taught together, he did the upper one and I did the lower one. We made it fun. Ya I remember how boring and frustrating it was having a TA who didn't speak much English and who was kinda socially awkward lol.

Finally decided to make an account myself after using this site as a great resource over the past year (especially for MCAT stuff!). I'm a current junior at Princeton from Long Island. Tentatively 2019, but may take a gap year. From the looks of this thread, I'm guessing this isn't one of the more serious ones, huh… 😛

How's the semester going for everyone?

From time to time we get serious other times we talk about cookies, candy, and food lol. Things will get real pretty soon though.
