Another new person to the thread, but I just wanted to come in and say that I'm so happy for all of you who've gotten acceptances so far! You all seem like some of the sweetest and friendliest people out there, so I'm glad to see you guys get confirmation that you'll be doctors!

I feel like such a proud mama bear and I'm pretty sure y'all are all older than me. Sorry I haven't been able to keep up with all y'all and your positive-ness, instead I have been grumbling along during my internship and have gone through the first 5 seasons of 30 Rock in about 2 weeks while knitting socks.
 
Holy crap! Congrats to all! It's amazing how you can go from uncertainty one day to knowing what the next 4+ years of your life will look like 24 hours later (though not necessarily where you'll be spending those 4 years).

Sending you lots of good vibes! I'm really sorry you've had a rocky start. 🙁 I know blabber from anonymous people on the internet may not mean much, but you've done really well with all your interviews and I believe you are bound to get good news. There's plenty of action still to come!

At the end of the cycle, nobody will know who was accepted on the 15th and who got an offer after then. All that matters is the acceptance itself. I got super lucky with my first decisions, but I have that nagging feeling that I'm going to be getting more than my fair share of waitlists and rejections. Such is the nature of this process.

For those of you who started interviews later in the cycle, when do you expect to hear back?

@sunflower18 YOU ARE KILLING IT! An east coast and a midwest option! Still got my fingers crossed for Mayo, though. 😉

This might just be one of the top 5 best days of my life! Class of 2019 for the win!

If you're still waiting hang in there. I know first hand how it is to read stuff of SDN and spiral into worse case scenarios. I was doing that for a good chunk of the morning. Hang in there guys! Good luck to all.

Thank you thank you!!! I'm definitely not giving up hope on Mayo either 😉 But I'm stoked to have two great options!!

And look at you!! You're doing AWESOME! How does it feel to have two acceptances, both in wonderfully warm areas? 😀 Looks like you can definitely avoid the snow next year if you'd like to!

I've heard nothing yet, but seeing people get accepted makes me so happy!

It's exciting to know that the field of medicine will be welcoming some pretty cool people!

I'm jumping on the bandwagon too here, got accepted to Iowa a few minutes ago! So happy and relieved and thrilled. When I was 8 and browsing through my Dad's MSAR this was my dream school hee hee. Iowa and I have a long history, yes. So happy for everyone here!!! :soexcited:

Not to imply that your dad is old, but the MSAR has existed for that long?

Indeed, @spockprime! I am so happy for your UK acceptance! So exciting! I love being able to go to my MDApps and add an acceptance after changing Brown's status to a rejection this morning :happy: This is one of the best days ever 😀

Aww thank you and yes it is so nice and heartwarming to get some IS love!!! Hahaha he is an old man of almost 50 now 😉 I don't know why he had it, since he went to medical school in India. I think he was interested in it when his friend's son was applying to medical schools.

I feel you on that!! Got the rejection from Brown today as well, but getting acceptances from my state schools put me in too good of a mood to really be sad about it! Thank you so much for your excitement -- I really loved my visit there, so it was the best start to my day ever!! Maybe I need to think about putting up a mdapps at some point, hmm. So happy you've got the acceptance to Iowa!! Huzzzah!! 😀🙂:banana::highfive:

Still haven't been to a single interview (scheduled for late October and early Nov) BUT I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU GUYS WITH ACCEPTANCES! :soexcited:

Write down your feelings, TREAT YO SELF, and realize that this day might determine the course of the rest of your lives! Thats huge! Can't wait to hopefully be in your position one day soon 😉

Because I'm just really curious: How many of you are now DONE with this cycle completely? As in, who here got accepted into the school they will definitely attend next year? Most of you know that if I get that UNC acceptance (plz mighty adcom gods lulz), I'm so done lol.

Still got 3. But probably would only go to Mayo over CU.
