I swear I'm going to go insane in my classes. Bio, Chem and Calc are so effin easy it's sickening.

🙄

lawls. that's what the guy says in the beginning and ends up with Bs and Cs :meanie:

Don't over-inflate your little head dude..it's only the first week. :meanie:

Never even saw it.

Taking a look at my syllabus, it's surprising how slow the class is going to be. But I'm taking Cali's advice and not taking any chances.

Be humble!!! You don't want to assume a class is easy and be embarrassed in the end because you got a B. Happens to a lot of smart people.

I know what you mean by that. But considering my Bio and Chem classes seemed harder in high school than college...🙄 See, I'm worried I won't get my A b/c I decide not to go to lecture or bum off b/c of how easy this stuff is. My only hard class is my Honors Eng just b/c it is subjective grading I suppose.

It would really suck if your grade suffered from sheer laziness.

I know I know. Just be careful! Never assume it's easy (even if you know they are). Just don't carry this attitude in every class.

freshman courses are easy period. requires minimal studying and maybe a little more come final time.

^^ Don't say that! You're suppose to motivate them by telling 'em it's hard! You don't want them to have overinflated heads. Why do you think freshies have such low GPAs? Smart students enter college, think it'll be easy, and in the end have their asses handed to them. 👎

its alright to get lazy but not TOO lazy... Freshman and Sophomore year you can slack a tad bit.

What? No. Don't slack! Why would you ever want to slack and even give yourself a SLIGHT chance of getting a B because you 'slacked'?

Just like everything else, freshmen year really does set the tone for the rest of your college years. Think about it. If this is really the easiest year of your UG, wouldn't you want to make sure that you get straight A's? Wouldn't it be horrible to get anything less? Besides, every year, every class you take, the harder it will be to raise your GPA. Start out with a bang, and end with a big bang.

Of course, don't take my word for it. If you think your classes are easy..then go ahead and find out yourself..hope you won't mind a couple of ugly grades. 🙄

It does not set a tone. For example: I left high school with a crappy gpa and that didn't indicate my performance when i entered college at the age of 16 and vice versa I study very minimal and did really well. Like i said it's only freshman-sophomore years are chill. This is the time where they need to get in all there volunteer work and get some research under their belt before they hit junior year.

obviously I'm not saying don't study at all, but you don't need to study like your taking nuclear physics 👍

It totally does set the tone. If you do terribly the first two years, you'll have difficulty raising your GPA later on. You'll have to work extra hard, might even have to take a year off, do a post-bac...e.t.c

Maybe, but that's n=1. Even if they are chill classes, they shouldn't treat them that way. I don't like taking chances, but yeah, no need to study them like nuclear physics..just study hard! 😛

Thanks for the heads up torshi! You're my new role model! (I'm just saying this to make Cali mad)

today i was really tempted to add on psychology to my courses. thank god i decided against it.

well I already have my 4.0 😛 survived fresshie year..good luck to you guys!

Haha. Got my 1st day tomorrow. I guess I'm going to find out how bad it really is.

its just like high school.... basically the 13th grade.

only difference is you'll care more about your grades then you ever have which causes stress.
