You guys are crazy. I always take 8AM classes, or at least before 11. Don't want to be sitting in class past 2.

I definitely agree with the afternoon part. I hate having classes in the afternoon.

But, it looks like this semester, I will be busy all day with no breaks from 9-5 on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. There are one hour breaks on Wednesday and Thursday, but Wednesday is 9-7 and Thursday is 9-6.

I bet SilverTurtle reads Foxtrot...

Annnnnnnnddd now I'm craving sunflower seeds.

Yeah, not a fan. Get some!

I am so excited for classes to start tomorrow! I am looking forward to studying. I'm such a nerd. I'm sure that I will rescind my statement later but right now, I'm excited to do some good old fashioned hard work. Ha.

Yikes 8am classes suck 🙁

That's really cool that you're an RA though! How much time does that take up?

Yeah, but 8AM physics is my only option...so I'll take it. I'm finished with lectures for the day by 11AM though. With my organic lab on Wednesday, that's another story..

Being an RA is fun...it definitely has its ups and downs. I have to do rounds and be on duty and stuff like that. It gives me a chance to meet new people and forge relationships that I normally wouldn't have. But it does take a significant amount of time out of my day. But if everything else is time consuming, why not add something else, no?? 🙂

Hello all!

Ugh stressful first day. Hated one class, not sure if I should drop it. Argh.

How bout you all?

Bummer. Is there another class you can easily replace it with?

How bout you all?

Yesterday was my last day at home for the next 5 months. In several hours I'm going to Florida for winter training before returning back to school. I'm sad because I'm going to miss my family and nervous because I've never flown before. 😳

I might just take 12 credits and scribe. I haven't decided.

Winter training? What for? Good luck flying!!! It'll be great!!

I miss my family too 🙁

For crew! It's gonna be awesome! 🙂

And thanks! I'm just worried about not knowing what to do at the airport. It seems so confusing...🙁

Good luck! Let us know how it went!!

I dropped the class I hated. I dunno if it was a good choice or not, but what's done is done. Now I really only have three classes, so I pretty much have to get straight As! I am thinking about doing an independent study for credit though. Either research or theatre. Woo!!

I hate my schedule so much. This semester doesn't seem too pleasant, as they don't let transfers pick their classes until ~5 days before class. Stuck with 14 credits of misery.

That's lame. Hopefully you can find some openings and register for better classes 🙁

Ah, my plan was if worse comes to worse I'll just register for a few general eds, but even the gen eds are with difficult profs 🙁 Oh well; just have to wait until next semester for a better selection.

Awww 🙁 that sucks a lot.

Lol this semester is going great. In 2/4 of my classes the teachers straight up told us that most of us would be getting As and to just "participate".

😀

It went well! The airport was not confusing at all and I absolutely love flying! It's so exhilarating!

WHAT 😱

Jealous

Awesome!! I'm glad to hear that, silver turtle 🙂

Ugh. I just changed my major, and the professor in charge of the major I dropped is PISSED at me. He sent me a scathing, harsh email and now I feel awful. Any experience with professors guilt tripping you about something that honestly shouldn't affect them that much, anybody? I feel really bad, but at the same time, it's my education, right? And it's my money? UGH.

That's ridiculous. Professors and advisers should be supportive. They have to remember that this is about you figuring out what's best for you instead of being personally offended that you switched out of their field.

DO NOT feel bad or guilty. The professor is just taking it personally instead of being understanding.

How do professors even have time for this kind of stuff?

I had a professor who recommended me for a TA position for an intro ECE course. I took the position but soon after transferred to another major. When I was transferring I had to meet with an advisor to sign the forms... Guess what, it was the same teacher who recommended me for the TA position lol.

It was pretty awkward and you could tell she was really disappointed but she said it was probably the right decision. :scared:

It won't be great when you're flying around the country for interviews and racking up zeroes on would-be easy grades. Make sure you take online classes then.

They aren't online classes. And my senior schedule sucks ... oh well
