One secondary away from the halfway point. I keep looking at all the money I've poured into this and the kind of lavish holiday I could have taken instead. Or all the rent/foodstuff money this could have been...

The Duke secondary was enough of a deterrent that I decided not to apply. Come to think of it, it's actually a good way for the school to gauge interest ahaha.

Good idea. 👍 I am considering taking a credit card from an airline company to have milage for free flight.

hehe, that's a good idea. I'm just taking my 2% cash back consolation prize. It makes me feel like I'm getting a discount on these secondaries 🙄

Yep, except vanderbilt. Their holistic process looks like it is taking a while. I've only gotten 8 of 15 so far, so it's quite a reasonable pace.

I have submitted most of the secondaries I received although I haven't received "complete emails" from some of the more recent ones yet.

Yeah, still waiting on Vandy too +pity+

It's so crazy some people started receiving interviews already. This is really happening 😱

Capital One. I think right it is 1.5% across the board, which still isn't too bad + one of the few free credit cards with no foreign transaction fees 🙂

50% of my way done with secondary apps. :arghh: Thanks to all the payments I've been making I finally memorized my credit card number.

Edit: finally finished UChicago (whew) and will submit tomorrow when I'm no longer delirious from an accidental pyridine spill in the lab.

Yeah!! It's going....and in a few months we'll start seeing "accepted!" posts and want to cry hahahah
Some of the schools move really fast. And some.....don't.
 
Finally done with every secondary that I have received so far. That makes 16/22 schools I applied to, no pre-secondary or post-secondary rejections yet. I wish all of you nothing but the best!!!! Time to go watch more Netflix!!

At least it's a hobby that distinguishes you from the mass of premeds out there! I should have put some kind of hobby on my AMCAS....oops.

I, too, have finished half of my secondaries!!! The only one that I have but haven't submitted is USC... No idea what to say for the "if you had to give yourself a nickname, what would it be?" question. I'm stuck!

I also feel very sad when I think about how much I've spent on apps. I could have gone to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter with that money....... 😱:dead:🤔+pity+

I'm sort of on a roll, it's actually getting hard to keep track of my status in all these schools. It would be cool if they had a universal AMCAS like secondary website where you fill it out for each school if they send you one there.

Wow!!! Only 2 not received?! I haven't gotten 14! I'm jealous. Although having 7 secondaries in your inbox must be daunting!

Yes, that would be nice. If my schools reject, issue a II, or accept me without sending an email or snail mail, I'm worried I won't find it for weeks later hahaha. I could make a habit of checking every day but that's way more neurotic than I can handle. Also, I'm having a helluva time remembering all of my passwords and logins.... I need to go back and write them all down somewhere haha

I have all this sortof info in an excel file, it really helps.

Yo I know the GW area so well it's not even funny, so let me know if you need any pointers on where to eat, stay, etc.

Same thing goes for all of you. NY/DC area schools I know really well, when you get IIs from there, I can give pointers on how to explore the area to see if it's somewhere you want to spend 4 years of your life at.

Lol I wish I was one of the lucky few to get an early invite from those places. I'm still under review under at umich and I'm not even complete at pritzker.
 
i'm sure everyone here is going to be positively swimming in IIs in a few weeks. and in a few months, everyone will be inundated with acceptances!! i am fully confident in everyone on this thread.

fair enough, I just hadn't heard anything explicit about them stopping. I just wanted to make sure that it's clear that I haven't said that they stopped (cause I have no idea if they have or havent). I only said that they sent me one on july 7th, and that's all i know 🙂
 
finished my UCSD secondary!!!! such a weight off my shoulders. i put off that autobiography for way too long haha
