I received my invite 9/4 and interviewed 9/25 and got accepted 10/5, so only took about 10 days after my interview for my acceptance. I was accepted via email but they also mentioned that they will be sending a letter as well.

I was interviewed by three faculty members, they all participated and asked questions. This will be a second career for me, so they mostly asked about my background and why I wanted optometry. It was pretty conversational, they seemed to genuinely want to get to know me better. After the interviews a second year student gave us a tour and we ate lunch with some students.

Congrats! It was really chill. There's two panels, one with faculty and one with students. There was also a tour and a lunch with a student and faculty member. Everyone was really nice and enthusiastic about the school! There were times to ask questions during the panels, and I asked one question for each. As for the lunch it was also really laid back, we mostly talked about the the cool things they do for the students, what it's like living in Bloomington, and stuff like that.

They contacted me exactly a month after verification, but I had to send them my AP score reports directly so that slowed down the process a bit.

Side note: Has anyone interviewed for the Scholar's Program at PCO? Any advice would be appreciated, thank you! It's not a traditional interview style and is MMI.....much harder :(

Basically, you are given 2 minutes to read the prompt outside of each station room to prepare yourself and the rest is self-explanatory. There's around 10 stations with one rest station. The first few are intimidating but you eventually get into a groove. The prompts are a bit random but they're definitely interesting as they were made to assess you as a person rather than an Optometry school applicant. Also, there was one room where I was given a task to perform with another person but it might be different for you. Just be honest with your answers and try to relax. Best of luck!

I was wondering if the prompts were entirely ethical or were they a mix of ethical and other types of "random, but interesting" questions? In addition, did any of the stations ask you personal questions, such as why do you want to go into optometry, etc?

Surprisingly, none of the questions were about Optometry. There was a mix of ethical, personal, and what would you do in this situation questions.
