Hello,

I am thinking of taking an introductory geography course and an introductory astronomy course to help increase by science GPA.

Does anyone know if aadsas puts astronomy and geography into the science category?, because only then would it be useful for me to take them.

Thanks for your input!

What are others courses that might count as science?

Also the introduction to Astronomy says "Not for major credit". Does this mean the grade won't go towards my final GPA even if i am not an Astronomy major? Would AADSAS accept the grade from the course?

Geology counts. It is SUPER EASY.

It will count in your overall AADSAS science gpa. Whether or not the school considers it a science is irrelevant.

Would human bethavioral anthropology be part of the science gpa?

NOt for major credit is a designation used only for degree purposes. It wont count as a biology elective credit needed for you to graduate. It will only count as a free elective. It will count in your overall GPA at your school. However, AADSAS will accept this class as a science course.

Oh ok. Thanks a lot for the info.

How about Psychology, does that count as a Science?

No. On AADSAS they have a category named Social/Behavorial science, it will go under that and be counted on your overall and non-science GPA's.

i recommend exercise science courses to help the science gpa

Q: How are AADSAS GPA's calculated?

A: AADSAS reports a variety of GPA calculations to the dental schools. The grade conversion table and rules used to calculate GPA's can be found in the AADSAS Instructions.

AADSAS reports: overall GPA (undergraduate, graduate and combined); and these undergraduate GPA's: biology-chemistry-physics GPA (BCP); science GPA (all science courses including math, natural sciences and BCP; non-science GPA.
