Your goal in high school should be to prepare for college. All subjects are important, but math and science will serve you especially well.
Your goal in college should be two-fold: first, to gain admission to medical school, second, to become a well-rounded educated person. This will likely be your last opportunity to study a foreign language, take formal music classes, learn something about sociology, etc.
Your goal in medical school should be to perform your best academically and make early and consistent connections with neurosurgery clubs, conferences, and faculty.
