Classics Course AMCAS Classification

Hey guys i've searched for some answers on this but haven't really found any. I took a full year classics course in my first year of university and was wondering what is classifies as according to AMCAS. I'm hesitant to put history since my university distinguishes between them and they do not cross over. I was contemplating Special Studies but that appears to have specific types of courses in it.

Direct from the AMCAS manual: Course classification is based solely on the primary content of the course content, rather than course title or department through which it is offered.

So if you feel the content was historical in nature then call it History.

Alright thanks a bunch! I'm assuming this applies to the science courses as well? So would there be discrepancy if a course was titled hormones and behaviour but I listed it as biology since it was mostly neuroscience?

I will have a full 4 years of classical education, and I'm at loss for what to put as well 😛

Alright seeing as its just the one course and it was mostly ancient history I will count it as a history based on content. @Pusheen I think you should double check with AMCAS but mainly go based on content of the course. So if it was ancient greek or latin, classify as language. etc.
