Technically, if you look at the ADA DAT Guide, it doesn't really mention that we have to know about plants, aside from taxonomy and basic stuff. Do we really have to go over the chapter in Cliffs about plants? I mean their stem, root structures, hormones, mechanisms of water and sugar transport...yada yada yada..I can't find anything in the Guide that tells me that I have to review this section. Am I thinking right? Could someone please help me out here?

But then again what if they pulled a plant hormone question or a stem structure question..can test takers argue that it wasn't on the DAT Guide?..lol

Yes, I do not think that you should need to know it. But, this is what separates us from the one with the 30 on this section.

To be on the safe side and on par with their crazy biology questions, learn it. It would not harm you to know more.

Know cytokinins, gibberelins, absisic acid, auxin (phototrophism, geotrophism, etc.), xylem, phloem, cambium, stamen, pistil, etc.

If I remember correctly, I got some weird plant questions on my DAT.. know this stuff cold.
The bio section throws in everything you could possibly imagine (genetics, taxonomy, evolution, etc...) In other words, you cannot over study for this section because some people get duped with some really obscure questions.
