Clinical Research Associate
The Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine is currently seeking a Full-time Clinical Research Associate to work under the direction of the Principal Investigator (PI) for all Childrens Oncology Group (COG) and PI for Bone Marrow Transplant studies at the institution. This is not a part-time or seasonal position. The primary functions of this position are to aid in the conduct of clinical trials and the maintenance of all patient data and regulatory files.
Primary Responsibilities:
Work with PIs to prepare documents for Institutional Review Board and Grants and Contracts Office submission including informed consent, protocol summary, protocol amendments and safety reports
Enroll research subjects in pediatric hematology/oncology clinical trials
Maintain research charts for study participants in accordance with MSSM
Prepare and ship specimens to research studies
Prepare for monitoring visits
Collect and submit study data
In addition, the CRA will assist with general office functions. A team-player attitude is a must.
Preferred candidate will have a background in biology, nursing, pharmacy, or have work experience in a scientific laboratory, medical records department, or other related field. Applicants without a background in the healthcare/science field will not be considered for this position.
This position requires and extremely organized person with proven success in information management and ability to multi-task. In-depth knowledge and experience using Microsoft applications is required. Applicant must have excellent communication skills.
