I'm looking for clinical research resources. Specifically I'm trying to come up with a new idea to pursue. My general areas of interest are: surgery, cardiology, psych, medicine, emergency med. Any suggestions on where to look to see current areas of clinical research which may then lead to ideas for a novel project?

I imagine specialty journals would be a good place to start. Other ideas, including on line? Thanks.

Your question is a bit broad. At what level do you want to do research? Are you going to try to get funding? Are you a medical student? Are you interest in doing a clinical trial? Case control study? Epidemiologic surveillance? Do you have any experience? Generally I've come up with research questions from personal experiences (from friends or family), clinical experiences, through lectures in class, or by building on prior research projects.
