IR/DR Research career

I am a current medical student interested in IR or DR, and I want to pursue a research career. Are there any current IR/DRs doing research and would share what that looks like? I am in the process of applying to a research year opportunity, and I am hoping this research year will help me learn more about what a research career looks like in radiology

Too vague a question. I know DR's doing bench, translational, clinical research. people getting large R01's getting trials. Its all possible. Your priority in med school should be getting the highest step 2 score possible #1 factor to go to a good DR residency with the most research opportunities. Yeah DR research will help, but not as much a step 2
