Hi,

This is a really stupid question but I was wondering if I was volunteering at a hospital for. couple hundred hours, does that count towards clinical hours or no? I was wondering because I want to try applying right after I graduate college to see if I can maybe get into (playing with fire ik)

I'm not sure yet as to what sector I will be put in but if it was patient facing, would it considered clinical? I'm trying to find a job as an optometrist assistant but no one is hiring a college student 🙁

Being an optometrist assistant is nice for clinical experience, but you need to be around doctors (as in MD/DO) more.

I understand, it sucks to find a job. How much have you leveraged your career center/advisor to navigate the process?

I'm actively trying to shadow a LOT of doctors (goal during summer) and get as much exposure to doctors as possible. Not sure if that is good but I think right now I'm trying to save money by trying to get an on-job training
