Closing social media account look bad?

Hello SDN,

Long story short, I logged out of all my social media and had my roommate change the passwords because they became too distracting by endless amount of time scrolling around and plus I do not like to get caught up with what people are doing and hearing other's opinions. I have been getting a few notifications that if I don't log in soon, my accounts may get automatically closed. Will that look bad in general to any adcoms? I have nothing bad on any of my accounts, heck I rarely even post anything at all, its just that its a waste of time and energy to look at it. Thanks!

On the contrary, I think that would make you look good to adcoms. It shows you've got the good judgment to avoid distractions and protect your professional future.

appreciate the responses. yeah I have people kinda stressing importance of being in fb groups for future things so i may be going back to it just for that. Ive just been away so long that my "addiction" of looking at it all the time has diminished completely

The only social media I have is an Instagram that I check maybe once a week where I post pics of my kids and the furniture I build. Not having Facebook is so liberating.
