co-SIGNER & consolidating loans in future

I am going to need a co-SIGNER for my graduate plus loan. I was wondering if anyone knows if co-SIGNERS can be taken off a loan once one is ready to consolidate after graduating.

Nevermind. I just called my lender and they said that one can't use a co-signer with a graduate plus loan. The alternative would be a private/alternative loan with a co-signer, and the co-signer will always be on the loan.
