Do you think it's okay if two of my professors cosign my LOR. One professor is technically underneath the other professor and the lower professor knows me better, but the higher professor still knows me pretty well. Also, they both know each other very well.

Hey there,
Your thread caught my attention because I was wondering the same thing. I have a LOR that was co-authored by two professor (my lab thesis advisors). One knew me much better than the other and most likely wrote most of the letter. However, the other was a "bigshot" doctor - chief of a department, directors of two research institutes, etc. I asked my pre-med committee how this would be viewed and they said it looked great having the bigshot doctor's name attached to it and might add extra weight to the letter. The recommendation obviously counted as ONE letter though.

Good luck.

Awesome, thanks for the replies.

So, who would I put as the primary letter writer? The professor that wrote it or the higher professor who co-signed it?
