Yup. Ours is July 12, after we finish orientation/first week.

I think UCONN and UW have a coat ceremony similar to the new arrival scene in "Shawshank Redemption".... Fish, fish, fish....I bet three minutes of my alloted nitrous oxide time that number six in line over there will cry first.
At Arizona, our white coat ceremony is the first day of orientation, July 21, and will be overseen by the Surgeon General of the United States.
Man, IUSD blows.
Arizona's has the closest starting date to mine of anyone's I've read--and it's still two weeks later.
Why do some schools start in summer term while most seem to wait till fall? Seems like at least the *starting point* might be a little more universal than that...

That's funny aphistis. I was thinking just the opposite: Man, everybody else gets to start so early and I have to wait until Aug 20?!
I'm enjoying my summer but kind of ancy (sp?) to get started. 😉

I'm enjoying the summer too, but c'mon, we're going to spend the next four years doing dental stuff, after just finishing four years of undergrad. I'd be just as happy having a few more weeks to relax before burning rubber again 😉
Yeah, but IU has the first week of class before white coat. I bet we both start at the same time (July 7) 😎
