in the application they say, they accept notarized copies of nbde 1 and toefl. But when i called they said we prefer original scores. now i have already posted my application with notarized scores what can i do?

Absolutely agree with you. Moreover the lady Jane Miller is RUDE too. She lost the Recommendation letter that my dentist sent directly to the program and my updated CV,last year. When I finally managed to get her by phone, she rudely tells me that I should tell the dentist to send another letter.She is one nasty program cocordinator.

Pl guys respond.I read in another thread that UC requires work experience in usa and letter from dentist as proof,without that they dont call for interview.I havent sent my application yet.I dont want them to take my $175 and just tell me I cannot go for interview.They might make it mandatory in their reqirements to have work experience in usa instead of doing this.Just search SDN for the other thread.

I posted my reco letter in the application packet itself. As it was frm a dentist frm my home country.
Well u can try u r luck to talk to jane miller.

If u still cant get in touch with her try contacting dr. Beth townie she is the incharge fr international programs.. I complained bout jane millers lack of response to her. She was kind enuf to get back back to me soon. You can get her no on the school website. Best wishes

This has been said a million times but bears repeating- think a million times before calling someone names. You are NOT as anonymous as you think you are.

Also typing in caps is considered SHOUTING.

I know I know it is frustrating to mail documents and have them lost, misplaced etc. BUT it happens at every school, to every candidate (yes me too). At the end of the day what are you committed to? Believe me when you see the sweet words of acceptance, none of this will matter.

Totally agreed with you. But I hope you know how difficult it is to keep asking RCletters repeatedly from a dentist. By you, I mean you in general not you-Pandu specifically. Our stats, our writing styles are quite a giveaway. You may have noticed that people of different nationalities have a typical way of expressing themselves.

It is a rare quality to speak your mind and own up to it. Good for you.

That's just one person's experience. If a decision is based on just that, it is quite a gamble.
Take for eg my friend's experience in UC- she had US experience and Part 2. She was rejected. When asked they said to improve the Statement of Purpose.

Another friend with US experience was rejected coz he did not have part 2.

With all of that said, in the end you have to decide whether you want to take the gamble/ chance and apply or not. $175 is a lot of money, 1 year of life is a lot of time.

Each school is diffrent, some school make it extremely easy fr the students n some school just seem it less important to get back to the student.

I had some doubts tegarding my application so as a student wht can i do?

1: try to get in touch with the school itself n clarify my question.

2: e-mail the school as was told to me.

i hv had very gud experience with umn /nyu/ bu. BUT I M BRUTALLY HONEST THT COLORADO WAS MY WORST EXPERIENCE. I MENTIONED ALL THIS EVEN TO DR. BETH. SO I HV NO REGRETS FR WHT I HV TO SAY BOuT THE SCHOOL.

I haven't applied to Colorado University so not sure about how they deal with applicants, but one thing: you are going to be a dentist, a person with doctors degree, so please learn how to use spell check and try to use more vowels. Using internet slang isn't going to give more respect to you or your posts (at least not on SDN forums).

I have got my admission in Masters in Indiana ,MS in surgery
i had applied to 12 colleges,i got accepted in 3
but guess why i preferred indianapolis cos PEOPLE WERE VERY SWEET THERE.every time i called it was always Dear Dr ****

iIam a MDS from India,i have been teaching thre for a couple of years
and believe me,its the students which make or break a college or univ
Losing documents and high handedness is BAD period.
i think we should write to the dept esp people who have got in ,and tell the univ what they have:" CALLING A SPADE A SPADE IS GOOD
I HAVE SEEN LIFE ,GOOD UNIV AND LOUSY ONES
when we come to usa ,we feel the univ are doing us a favour,
we are doing them a favour studying here.
paying the fees from buying applications and adding to the economy.
SO shout down loud if someone does not do there job well

I mailed Jane Miller regarding the information whether notarised copies are sufficient or original score reports are to be sent. She replied me that NOTARISED copies are OK......

UC has extended the deadline until april 1st, so if I were u I would go ahead and take it right away, u have 6 weeks from now and it take 10 business days to get the results, good luck

I applied to Colorado 3 weeks back and yest they sent me application complete status, in the emial they said that applications shall be reviewed in April and in mid april we shall be notified if we are called for interview..

They shall be holding bench test in late may to june according to emial..Hope this helps to all those who have applied

Call and email her I know people are very......in there .but you have to make sure before the dead line..good luck..
