Is there a CD-rom or a website that provides additional study materials to complement the atlas?

How small/big is this text? I find the pocket sizes were very handy to carry around, and the pages were nice when flipping through them.

Are there also practice questions included in the text?

I have a PhD in Physiology and am looking to teach during and after residency. How helpful would this text be for preparing lectures and do you provide resources to educators? Thanks.

Does this focus more on detailed visuals than it does on actual content through text or is there an equal amount of emphasis?

Does this contain alot of textual content or is this book mostly an atlas as the title implies? Also, for anyone looking for anatomy books, Thieme, by far, has the best anatomy atlases IMHO

Since this book is supposed to help pass pre-clinical exams, I assume it has review questions? Are they Step 1-type questions?

>One page of text and the corresponding color plate constitute one thematic unit. The color plate is often sufficient to understand a topic but the text provides further detailed explanations.

> The text and labels on the color plates are large enough to be read easily.

Are there also practice questions included in the text?

> No, there are no practice questions included.

Q1: Since this book is supposed to help pass pre-clinical exams, I assume it has review questions? Are they Step 1-type questions?

The new 6th edition of the COLOR ATLAS of PHYSIOLOGY is very popular with faculty and students because of its thorough review of key concepts. This pocket sized book is packed with illustrations and explanations. The book highlights key clinical information. Because this book is intended to provide more information than being simply a list of q&a to study and memorize for USMLE it does not contain a list of those questions.

For a better understanding of physiological principles in a small compact source this book is ideal but again if you are looking for simply a list of q&a to review and memorize this book does not provide that.

Thank you very much for your question and good luck with your studies.

Best regards

Would it be possible for us to view some sample pages of the text and/or images?

Does this book included physiology changes in woman during pregnancy or during disease state?
