anyone? (please private message if you don't want to publicly comment)

I'm probably going to rank this program highly but would like some outside opinions.

I interviewed here a while back so not everything is fresh in my head, but here goes. First off, I will say that the residents were far and away the coolest ones I met on the interview trail. The faculty also sound extremely approachable and easy to work with. The facilities there are spread between quite a few hospitals, but that will mostly be consolidated to beautiful new facilities at fitzsimmons when it opens in our PGY-2 or 3 year. I was strongly considering going here at first, but now have mixed feelings. If I was going into clinical neurology I'd go there in a heartbeat. For academics, however, I've heard it doesn't have as strong a reputation as others in the area unless you are interested in immunology (MS) research, etc. From reading other posts here, talking to my chairman, etc. Colorado is a third tier school, strong clinically. That said, my adviser has told me that strong academicians come from all programs and neurology fellowships aren't that competitive for the most part. Other programs in the surrounding area which probably have a better reputation: UCLA, UCSD, stanford, UCSF, UW, +/- Utah, Mayo, Iowa, Baylor, NWU, Rush, UMich, Wash U.

What does +/- Utah mean?

It means that many would say it has a better reputation than Colorado and many would say its about the same.
