Colrado decisions?
Started by batman123
There was a thread on here a few weeks ago saying there may be some delays...but I think they called about the same time you did...who knows? I sent an email to Sean the other day but have yet to hear back, although I am sure the snow storm is sort of slowing things down. I wonder if decisions will come by mail or email? He did say at the interview that a "big" envelope is good news, so maybe it is all through snail mail?
Although the Colo SDNer population is relatively small, we should try to keep this thread semi-alive so that we know when other people start hearing. I feel so left out of the other "OFFICIAL" threads! 😎

Just called Colorado, and they said that that decision e-mails are going out tomorrow afternoon or Friday morning...
decision emails!!! --i'm not sure i like the sound of that. imo, letters via snail-mail are much more dramatic. hmmm.....i think i'll just wait for my small envelope to come in the mail 🙁 🙁
at any rate, thanks for the info batman
i got my decision 2 weeks ago via email...

When did you interview? Did you get in?

I am in the third tier (read: rejection) 🙁
I originally applied to CU as an MSTP applicant and am still on the alternate list for interview with them, I am wondering if this hurt my chances for the MD program? I have to admit I was a bit surprised to end up down in the third tier at my state school (stats are totally in line with the school's avgs), CU Boulder undergrad, etc. Aside from the fact that I had near total laryngitis the day of my interview, I thought it went well, whatever! It is the way of things. I have heard that CU undergrads don't always have the best luck with UCHSC...so I can always use that as an excuse 😉
Oh yeah, one more thing I have lived out of state since Sept 2001, and would have had to appeal for residency status had I been accepted...perhaps this was a good excuse to throw me in the third tier.
I only applied to 2 schools this year (don't ask) and am waitlisted for UCSD's MSTP program, so I am not out of the game yet...but I may start working on my AMCAS essay this weekend, what fun!
Seriously, good luck to all. I hope you get in even if I don't, Go Buffs! 🙂

Sorry to hear that. Good luck at UCSD.
I just got a rejection email from UCHSC. Weird, I was 2nd tier waitlist last year and raised my GPA and am doing a volunteer year with Americorps, and thought my interview went better. That is truly odd. GL to everyone else.

Oh boy, just got rejected in an email from Colorado. This is a big dissapointment- colorado had been my first choice, and to get turned down flat post interview after waiting five months for a decision- that hurts.
life goes on.

OMG!! Does CU actually accept applicants or do they just reject/waitlist everyone?
Geez......that sux. Sorry to hear that everyone 🙁

I heard back from Colorado yesterday via email as well. I have been placed on the high priority (top third) alternate list. It was my understanding that almost, if not, everyone were typically offered acceptances off of this list. Can anyone verify this? Also, has anyone on the waitlists tried to inquire about their specific rank? Although it's nice to know top, middle, or bottom third of the list, there could be a significant difference in waiting time and likelihood of being offered an acceptance between the top and bottom of a given tier. Thanks in advance. Good luck to everyone.
