this is a torture..
hope they can let us know through phone call..

i saw a post saying that he/she called to columbia
and they said that something has decided on her application
and the letter was just sent out yesterday..

so for the earliest
it may arrive today or tmr..

i'm hoping we'll hear from them within the next few days...at least by friday
from what i remember of the interview day, i'm pretty sure they're just sending a letter by snail mail to your permanent address
i know i'll be on the look out!

Yea they told us permanent address as well but that makes no sense to me at all when the other address was current address.
Its just not as exciting to have to call and find out you were accepted (but I wouldnt complain if I get it) and would really stink to hear it on the phone if rejected.

got the letter via snail mail today. it was in a yellow med sized envelope fyi. and i'm in nyc.
dr d and dr mcmanus both handwrote personal messages on the bottom of the acceptance letter. nice touch! 🙂

im in Ohio...no letter today at my perm. address, but they said they mailed me a letter on Monday.
i hope it's not a rejection letterrrr =( we'll see...
hopefully tomorrow will be my LUCKY DAY 😀

You live in Georgia! It was mailed from Columbia on Dec 1st. Someone said they received it on Dec 1st which means they live extremely close to the school. The closer you are, the faster you will receive it.

I got my letter from there today as well. Snail mail in a manilla'ish type envelope with a personal handwritten messge from Dr. Mcmanus and Dr. Davis.

No, there is also a student information application that is like 6 pieces of folded paper. It isn't completely flat. Its actually kinda think. Thicker than NYU's.

Rejected... I'm so bummed about it too. I called them and told them I had a new address. So the lady put in my new address and I casually asked if anything had been sent and she said no. Considering that I interviewed in like the 3rd week I took that to mean I was rejected. 🙁 So I guess it's UOP for me.

Just to add to that (for all of you that are really anxious)... it's in a manila envelope that's smaller than a normal 8x11 piece of paper.

The acceptance letter is dated Dec 1, but I can't tell what the postage is actually dated.

Congrats! And don't worry about the Florida rejection, as I'm right there w/ you. As I was reading my UF rejection letter, I got an acceptance call from UNC.... ironic 🙄. Anyways, I'm looking forward to getting a letter from Columbia.

If so, don't they have to send me a letter saying like 'you are waitlisted so just wait' ???

Also, do they even make a real decision upon waitlisted people???
and what % of waitlisted people get luckly accepted ??
