Columbia DPT

Has anyone else received an invitation to interview on the 13th? Or does anyone who's interviewed already have any advice? Just trying to get a grasp on what I'm getting myself into.

The interview is really relaxed! I would look over your own application because it was really just a conversation about yourself and getting to know you. Good luck and if you have any questions about the interview let me know!

Just to echo, I interviewed in October and it was my favorite interview so far. The 1-on-1 interview lasted a hour and was a conversation about your own application, why you chose to apply to Columbia, no surprises, and time to ask any questions. I believe they tried matching us with professors with similar interests which was really nice. There was a lot of time to talk to current students, and they were all very nice and answered questions honestly. Feel free to message me with any questions!

Hey I am in my first year for Columbia's DPT, feel free to ask me questions if it will help make your decision. I will say that Columbia is more expensive, and it is also extremely harder than I believe other schools are, but you get more out of it. That being said, you get the same DPT degree at any school so if money is that big of a concern, you're better off going to Drexel.

Honestly I was in the same boat. I did not apply to Columbia at first because I did not think I met the requirements for the humanities. I ended up applying right before the dead line and got an interview right away. So I don't know the chances exactly, but it is not out of the question.

How long did it take for Columbia to confirm that they received your deposit?

I don't remember the exact time, but I remember it was long enough for me to be concerned and call and confirm they got it haha.

Has anyone gotten any form of follow up email from the school saying they've received your deposit?
