Has anyone been able to confirm with certainty whether Columbia will waive the $75 application fee for those who have been granted financial assistance via AADSAS FAP? I have been unable to reach them by phone and have received no response to my email sent in mid-May (and followed up earlier today providing proof of FAP approval). From various forums, it seems that my experience is not unique although the two or three times that I’ve seen inquiries after googling, responses were not conclusive.

Columbia is, unfortunately, pretty notorious for poor communication. You can try to keep communicating with them, but unsure how long you’ll be willing to wait. This is a busy time of the year given applications just opened and schools are starting to get ready for their incoming class’s orientation.

Thanks for your response! It’s already been a few days since I applied so I certainly don’t want to delay beyond tonight or Thursday morning - I’ll be knocking on one week.

I actually received feedback just a bit ago. It is possible to receive a fee waiver although Ms. Lugo must be emailed directly rather than the general admissions email. Good luck to anyone else seeking assistance!
