Hi!
Can anyone from Columbia dental school share the amount of rent you pay for the each dorm?

Also, do 3rd and 4th year has their own chair for patients or share the chair with other students?

What time does the first year class starts? 8 or 9?

...Towers is def the best way to go...I pay $698, w/a pretty sweet view, I have three roommates and I think a majority of the students have roomies, getting a studio from housing here is kinda tough, but is an option you do receive...internet if free, cable depends on your personal pref...I don't have a tv...

...from what I have seen 3rd and 4th yrs share, [two students per chair], and they are on the 8th and 7th floor respectively.

...the first semester of yr 1, usually 10am, maybe 9am on Fridays, second semester...mixture of 9am and 10 in the beginning, and more towards 10am in the middle and then 9am in the summer[May and June]

...second year?...I hear that it is a mixture of 8am and 9am...not too sure, perhaps a second year lurking may correct me...cough::"INFINITE"

Thanks for your kind answer! I tried to find the rent for every columbia dorm, but I failed to find one. Anyone can cheap in their dorm rent, plz? Thanks.BTW, I do really wanna live in Towers but since I currently live in Fort Lee (not my permanent house) I don't know if I can get in. I wanna live close to the school. Do they go by miles?? If it is, I'm screwed. Maybe I should put my aunt's address "Dallas, Texas" haha

Cool from my view I can see Ft.Lee, haha, I'm sure you can see the three towers from across the river...housing placement is based on how far you are form the school, but there are at least six classmates of mine that are from NY and received housing.[just try to be lucky...and polite to them]

In reality, housing seems to have little to do with how far away you live. As CB mentioned, a good bunch of our class lives on campus, while people from the West Coast were wait-listed.
