What are the specialization rates not including aegd and gpr

Also what's else is a deciding factor? I spoke with a Columbia student and he doesn't seem to give me the impression I have a better chance of specializing in Columbia because there is way more competition and harder to be top student etc.

Grades, extracurriculars, and connections are other deciding factors for residencies. Stony Brook offers more individual attention form faculty/more opportunity for connections. Specialization rates are arbitrary because some years everyone wants to do GPR, other years half the class applies to residencies. I am not sure about columbia (but I am positive they have no problem placing students into residencies), but last year stony brook got 4/4 students (of a class of 35?) that applied to Oral surgery into their top programs and this year we got a student into harvard ortho. If that is not testament to stony brook getting students into their residency of choice I dont know what is.
