combank I of only 60% average

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
60-70% on combank is probably around average but that doesn't at all predict an average score on comlex, especialy if you didn't do uworld. It has nothing do to with how smart you are, like everyone, you can do this! These forums are a great resource for most things but I would personally talk with a learning specialist or a dean at your university. After 2 weeks of prep you haven't budged. Spending money on another comsae may not do a whole lot other lighten your wallet. They will point you in the correct direction, and worst case scenario you postpone a few weeks.

From my personal experience, and experience of several of my classmates, the Comsae under-predicted our scores. I scored 130 points higher on my real comlex and heard similar experiences from others. Take that for what its worth. Maybe take an NBME and see where you are. If you pass that, you should be good to pass the Comlex.

Thanks guys,

I think I'm going to start mini-review Micromnemonic flashcards and focus less on the question bank since micro is high yield.
Any recommendations on what I can use for MSK? I know there are many threads out there about this but it is hard to find the specifics.

MSK is not particularly high yield. Know FA + pelvic anatomy + major dermatomes. From talking with my classmates, the common themes are OMM/cranial/chapmans/cord-levels, neuro, and micro were all relatively common and were more "high yield". Read the comlex experiences thread, lots of us have given run downs of our exams.

Fully agree with this.

Chapman's points were what I saw most from OMM. It tested on the weird ones that I didn't put much stock into them asking about, too.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the green book by Savarese -- 5 full length OMM exams that were surprisingly like the shelf exams in 3rd year -- wish I had it when studying for COMLEX 1, used it for 2 and 3 -- found it to be a good representation of the types of questions and it also helped my OMM-to-English conversion skills....
