My file was complete in the beginning of december for PCOM it has been under review ever since. I have called them several times and they just tell me my application is under review. A friend of mine had his complete in October and still has not heared anything from PCOM. Now the interesting thing is that my friend's gf sent in her application at the same time as her bf and she got an interview in December. Is it possible that PCOM is putting some applicants on hold but they are not really telling us that we are being put on hold? Anyone else in the same situation? Has anyone applied in December and have heared from PCOM?
 
do you mind sharing your stats? if we have similar stats then may be we are being put on hold. I really dont know. My stats are: GPA: 3.5 SGPA: 3.3 MCAT: 27.
 
i'm still waiting too - OOS and been complete since mid-october. it's good to know that others are still waiting too lol.

Been complete since mid-October, nothing from PCOM, other than being told your application is complete and under review, which means nothing really.

i just got an email for a 2/21 interview. i sent in all my stuff in early december and just called last week b/c i was paranoid my file was not complete. they assured me it was complete and i got an email on friday with an interview date. wish me luck! :luck:

Wow they are booked almost all of Febuary. That leaves only March for chance of interivew for those waiting for one. Seems the odds are against us, oh well thats life.
 
my application was also in by the end of October and I haven't heard anything other than "your application is still under review". I hate this waiting game.

no prob. my stats are:

MCAT: 31
GPA: 3.6
SGPA: 3.6

i'm a non-traditional student. i graduated in '02 with computer science degree and have been working in IT since.

Has anyone noticed that for PCOM the interivew dates are either a Tuesday or Wednsday. Seems like DO schools only interview on these two days or am I wrong?

some might, but lecom-e offered me interviews on jan 11th (a thursday) or jan 22nd (a monday). i declined the interview, which opened up a spot for other lecom-e hopefuls 🙂
 
Does pcom interivew into April or March? Do you guys think they are full by now? I wish they would tell you when you call them

It says March on the mailing they send out with the secondary. I'm sure there is a possibility that they will be pulling people off the waitlist long after that, though and possibly off of pre-int waitlist and offering late interviews... again, hopefully a current student can answer... ::clears throat:: DO Sigma Nu Guy....::ccccouugh::

pcom is definitely not full yet. on the nucleus, you can see the number of students accepted and who have their log in. i think only half of the seats have been filled in so far.

I have never heard of them doing late interviews. It ends at the end of march. They will probably use the waitlist more than in the past.

if you go to the pcom website, there's a link to the nucleus. the students who paid the deposit got a login. it has all sorts of info including forums between pcom students and staff, email, housing info, calendar...etc.
 
Nucleus is PCOM's computer network. You can do pretty much everything...email, blackboard, register for classes, check grades, etc....and apparently see how many seats are open.

Don't trust the number of students on nucleus. It all depends on how fast PCOM puts them in the system.
 
I've been complete since November, haven't heard anything. I'm out of state and when I called they told me the same thing, I'm waiting for review. I just send them a letter of interest last week, maybe something will come out of that.
 
I have been complete since early Dec. and just got an email for interview on (02/01)

Well, you are awful late in the cycle. Without, at a minimum, knowing what your "high GPA" and "below average MCAT score" are, no one will be able to tell you if you have a chance.
 
🙂 I just got an interview for PCOM on Friday, Febuary 12th. My stats are not as good as most, but I am a non-traditional student with a lot of EC's. I am retaking the MCAT AGAIN tomorrow (the new computerized version). I think they will wait to see my score on that before they even consider accepting me. I do not want to go to any other school. My Dad is an alumni at PCOM and I want to keep up the family tradition... 🙂 So what is the worst MCAT score you have ever heard anyone get accepted with? 😕

Hi Goaliegurl...ok, even without knowing your stats...my father decided to pursue a career in medicine when he was 35. He went straight through and his stats were GPA 3.4 MCAT 21 and a lot of EC's. Granted he was far from the traditional student, but he did it. He also sent his stuff in January. His interview was in late April. He was accepted to PCOM!!! So there is definitely hope...just thought I would let you know!!🙂

Without further information, I would say don't give up yet. Hang in there, Goaliegurl. I applied very late, too. In fact, I applied around the same time as you. I have yet to hear from PCOM, too, but I already have interviews scheduled for KCUMB and COMP. Invites are rolling in, so it's possible we will be hearing from PCOM soon.
