My issue is that Israel only has one recognized Vterinary college, and if you dont get accepted there your stuck. Beyond that, according to my cousin who learnt there, the learning curve is quite steep, as it has become in much of Israel.

I was looking into other countries, Hungary, New Zealand, Denmark, when I came across the US as a possible choice.

Now I lived there for 7 years when I was young and my english is still my superior language to this day, so it would simplify my life, but ive noticed that prices go up drastically for out-of-state students, and doubly for Foriegn students.

Consider the extra 3 grand id have to pump out yearly just to see my family twice a year, and it seems to me that the forming conclusion is that studies in the US will be impossible.

Am I wrong? Are there colleges which are far lower then 25 grand a year that you know of? Is there any relief for foriegn students(stupid question i know the question to, but a guys gotta ask)? Any possible answer to this riddle that doesnt include mind numbingly painful student loans?

I am willing to do alot for this, something im slowly realizing to be my dream, for i have always loved animals, but there are somethings that are beyond my ability and just quite.... impossible.

Hi Angel,

I am an American student studying veterinary science at Murdoch University in Perth, Western Australia. I have a friend here that is from Israel as well. She is in my same program and may be able to help you out. I'll see if I can't get her to share some insight with you.

On another note, US schools are extremely hard to get into if you are a foreigner. Plus, most are going to cost you around $48,000 per year. I would suggest looking into programs in other countries like you mentioned. There are three AVMA accredited schools here in Australia and there are at least two Israeli students in my class. Feel free to private message me if you have any additional questions.
